I have about 14 decks. I can fit 9-10 in the holiday box thing with the given dividers and you could optimally fit 12 (4 in each row). My LGS sold some of the boxes just as boxes for like $5. If you had 2, I'm sure you could then fit 24. Hopefully they will eventually release another one so you don't have 2 with the same art. The last three decks could fit in a fat pack.
I too am planning on building one deck for each color combination (although I've shot myself in the foot and have several of the same combo) and eagerly hope that they print legendary nephilim in Dragon's Maze. In any case best of luck to you.
There are 26 possible combinations of the 5 colors of magic; do you mean there are only 21 possible color combinations in EDH without the (non-legendary) Nephilim? Everyone, up to Magic's lead designer, agree that they should have been legendary, and I haven't encountered a play group yet that took issue with one as a general. I would expect to see 4 color legends soon
You missed. Let's do this systematically with only Commander-legal color combos:
1- X (Colorless)
2- W
3- G
4- R
5- B
6- U
Several people are just messing around. There are only 21 EDH-legal color combinations, because colorless and the five mono-color identities are not combinations.

Nice to know there are still some classy people on the internet.

Splitting hairs I'm sure, but often a combination is written "N choose K," where 0<=K<=N. In this case, choosing just one color, or no colors, is still a combination. I think.

fzian, help me out here!
Yes, hence the full list. I did not realize that anyone would exclude an iteration because it was not multiple-sourced. This seems counter-intuitive... but perhaps the term 'color iteration' is more accurate than 'color combination.'
In any case, there is a full list posted... anyone can take what they want from that.
To get back to the actual original topic, I likewise have the goal of eventually building all 27 legal color (and colorless) identity decks. Currently sitting at 19, with a few ideas in the queue. Right now I don't have a good solution, so I've spent a lot of time thinking about this problem as well. Usually I end up using smaller carrying boxes/cases which hold 4-8 decks, and just rotate among the ones I regularly carry. Not exactly the best solution.
One option I've considered is trying to reduce the amount of cards I have to carry by moving to a "Cube" or "Box" like setup. Rather than have 27 decks built, I'd have all the cards necessary to build each of the 27 decks, eliminating overlap for common staples, lands, etc. That drops the number of cards need from 2700 to roughly 1500. The downside is that then you have to assemble the deck you want, each time, and it's a lot harder to loan out decks to friends. Though on the upside, a Box type setup does mean that it's much easier to tweak your deck every time to keep them fresh and interesting.
Gathering Magic has a series of articles with ideas for building a box like this.
The other option is probably going to creating a custom case of some sort. The best option I've found so far is likely going to be something from a company like this: http://www.casetechnology.com/ultralight/
If you're a handy crafts sort of person, starting from rifle case and then altering the insides to house your decks appropriately seems like the best approach. Though this does get into the theft downside again. A rifle case is apparently a really attractive target for people who might see it in your car or wherever. I've also seen some toolbox cases which might make good starting points. Harbor Freight has one I've used for building a small kit for draft/standard, with internal dividers made of cut up plastic board materials. It'll hold about 8 commander decks double-sleeved, or around 12-ish single sleeved. If I could get a larger version of that, I'd be at least semi-happy.
I think my dream case would be about 2 foot across, a foot or so deep, with a bunch of internal "lanes" that worked sort of like nicer poker chip cases do, including the felt/plush lining. Maybe some smaller compartments which would hold a rolled up playmat, and some spots for dice/bead counters.
Once I build one of every combination, I'll have more than 30 decks. I still carry only 4-5 with me at anyone one time. I decide on Thursday morning what I want to play that day, and put them in the 6-space foam-lined UltraPro carrying case. One space is full of all the Generals in top-loaders, one is full of all the tokens my decks happen to make.
Carrying 27 seems like it'll get you lots of attention, but not be all that useful otherwise. Is there any reasonable scenario where all 27 get played in the same day?
I carry 28 decks in Legion Deck boxes in this case. Took out the easy to remove dividers, and 4 rows of 5 fit with 2 rows of 4 next to them turned sideways. Nice and solid. Carrying strap dug in to my shoulder(you would be surprised how much 28 EDH decks weigh), so I just use the handle. The locks are cheap, but better than nothing.
EDIT: I only take this when I am going to a friends house for some games with the guys. I wouldn't take this to a store for fear of being robbed. Also, to any and all above suggesting keeping cards in your car: DON'T DO THIS!!! One of my good friends had his car stolen with his decks and binder in the locked trunk. Car was found banged up and ruined because thief took it for a rough joy ride. Cards, stereo, about anything worth money at all was taken and never recovered. I work in a bank and have heard numerous car break in stories of purses, laptops, stereos and subwoofers, etc. being stolen. When going to a gaming store, if you can't carry it on your person or in your backpack/bag, leave it at home.
Wow. If you actually take a minute to read the OP, there is no mention of walking in to a local gaming store with 27 decks. He/she simply wants a way to transport them. So, to that end, the countless warnings about getting ripped off are beside the point and generally unrelated to the topic (how to transport them).
I'll attempt to bring this back to a thread that is marginally related to the OP's request.
I used one for about a year. It fit (3) 400 or 450 ct. card boxes - I can't recall which at this point. However, you would need 3 of them to accommodate your 27 decks. Perhaps it would give you some flexibility though. Alternatively you could use two of the smaller Harbor Freight metal cases, which would probably let you fit them all, but might require returning products if they don't work out. The plus side? You can carry one in each hand, which is always easier on one's back.
I assume money is a constraint. The last option would be to contract a company that makes custom cases for electronic equipment to fabricate the inner foam pads for an appropriately sized "Pelican" style black plastic case, with individual slots for all 27 boxes. Sick, but expensive.

Hahaha! That was hilarious.
By the by, I believe the best way to carry those many decks are hosting an event at your home and invite only friends.

Since there are no four color generals (and I have no interest in building Nephelim decks), I don't have those five combinations.
