There are some people talking about preferring foil cards. I'm German, and I prefer German cards. Not because I can't read English, which is obviously not the case. I just prefer German cards because it adds some flavour to my cards when I say their names in my mother tongue and embed them into my German sentences.
That makes sense. Though I have Japanese cards and can understand them most of the time, I tend to take the approach of only using English cards because the people I play with can only read English. I'm not a fan of people playing with full art cards and cards in languages that no one in the group can read. Even if everyone knows the card by the art, it still seems mean to me, since you never know when a newer player might want to join in.

Rule No.1 Have as many white bordered cards as allowed by financial status.
2. Mass destruction, love resetting the board over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and you get the point, interestingly enough people like it in multiplayer games since if someone gets too far ahead I'm always there to set it all back to the stone age.
3. Preferred artwork trumps all categories for picking the edition of a card with the exception of the white border.
4. Always encourage people to kill each other.
5. If 1v1, combo.
1. All of my decks are very General-oriented; I absolutely loathe using a general just for colour access.
2. All of my decks revolve around a theme of some sort, but not at the expense of power. My Azami deck is control-combo but packs a Wizard tribal theme. My Mayael deck obviously has a lot of fat, but I do my best to keep the fat restricted to specific tribes.
3. I'm the foil guy (foreign preferred, but I've yet to get a reliable Japanese foil contact >.>). I'm always working to acquire foils for my EDH decks -- I'm 9 shy for Azami!
4. I only use Ice Age Arena basics. No ifs, ands or buts.
5. I always use Pokemon cards for tokens.
6. Orange, Purple and Black are my favourite colours, so those are the only sleeves I use.
7. Always include at least one game ending infinite combo; it's my emergency red button (unless it's Azami, where it's just plan A).

I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
I'm working on an all foil EDH. Its ....REALLY hard.
I got a friend that built his forever ago. I traded him my havengul lich foil a while back which completed his deck. We allow him the unglued card that makes foils cheaper to cast. he makes a lot of weird decks. He has an all vanilla creature deck, a deck with all different languages or at least every language MTG is printed in. ect.
One thing that seems to be really specific with me and its not just EDH but all MTG is that I have my deck sideways and at the upper right hand corner and I put my gave in the lower right basically under my deck. My lands close to me and mana rocks n' such with them.
I've stumbled across a new quirk after some games at my LGS a few weeks ago:
I gun for tryhards.
I know everyone is trying to win, I am too, but if it looks like you care more about winning than everyone else at the table, I'm going to think it's hilarious when you die for absolutely no reason other than me focusing you down. Sure, I might not win, but that's okay.
I also like to hit people that don't play politics. If you're just going to arbitrarily throw your weight around the board without considering my propositions, I might as well just beat on you, since everyone else at the table is willing to negotiate with me.
I like White bordered cards as well, I just always prefer it. If I could have my entire deck be white bordered and still win, I would love it.
I play the political game. I don't wan't to just beatdown everyone, I want to talk, I want banter, I want the game to be multi-layered. Sure, I could blow up all the lands on the board, but... Why should I? Why shouldn't I?
And then...engine. I must. Play. Combo. Not even infinite, or power, just quirky little things that work together, or I cannot enjoy my game. I don't care if my turning my dragons sideways wins me the game, awesomely so. If I did not play Words of Wilding + Muraganda Petroglyphs + Garruk's Packleader, the game sucked butts.

Currently Getting Back into the swing of MTGS. Bear with me folks~
1. I'm poor. My deck is usually the cheapest one around the table. Partly due to that I always come up with unusual cards like Recross the Paths and Captivating Glance.
2. I'm a huge Timmy, the only thing in the world better than a dragon is a Rite of Replication kicked and aimed at one.
3. I've been dabbling into griefer strategies lately. This is due to my latest general being Old Isperia who, although having a nice butt and tutoring fatties, has a hard time swinging for the kill herself.
-I like having storyline cards in my deck that have to do with my general. In my early Jhoira deck I had not only Terferi but also Slow Motion, Confiscate(the artwork with Teferi and Jhoi as students at Tolarian Academy), Ghitu Enchampment, and Ghitu Fire . Sadly Tinker is banned.
I know what you mean; I love it when my decks can be both well constructed and have cohesive style. For that, if I have to choose between different versions of a card, I try to choose the one that fits best, either through art, flavor text, or both.

"What is mana but possibility, an idea not yet given form?" - Jhoira
1. I am always frustrated with a deck that doesn't control the game state in some capacity whether it be counter spells or board wipes. Because of this, I feel most comfortable in a Johnny role.
2. I tend to play competitive decks casually. I like powerful cards that do strong things, but I'm in it to have fun and I don't necessarily care if I win or lose. Experiencing the format with a nice group of people is the most important thing for me.
3. I love love love altered and signed cards. A guy at my LGS altered my Mulldrifter so the wings poke slightly out onto the borders and it's the COOLEST THING EVER.
4. I love old cards and old tech. Sometimes the old strategies are the best strategies. I always feel happy with a grip of old art cards.
I arrange my lands in play by threes. Deck is on the bottom right, graveyard above it, exiled cards turned face down in the grave. My hand is usually arranged by ascending mana cost, then lands. Artifacts and Enchants go on the left, mana is closest to me, creatures closest to opponents.
Aren't cards suppose to be exiled face up unless explicitly stated in the effect?
Only quirk I have is I don't play infinite combos. I just find no fun in it; although other people using them is fine. If theres an infinite combo between two cards in an edh deck I take one of them out so I'm not even tempted to get a cheap win. One of my decks has an infinite turn combo but that was by accident, requires 4 or 5 cards all of which are good on their own, and needs something like 12-15 mana a turn. Plus it still needs to actually win some way. That's about as close as I get to infinite combos.
I do, however, love to play combos of an indefinite/undeterminable length because I find doing rough percentages on the fly fun. =/
So if I were to say "you're a complete douchebag who has his head up his ass so far he's using his own eyeballs as glasses," you'd simply shrug it off?
No trees were harmed in the sending of this message; however, a significant number of electrons were slightly inconvenienced.
I play cards, uh, whatever i have/can get because who cares what my cardboard looks like...
I put them in KMC sleeves because those things never break...
I play to win and expect my opponents to do the same...
And I bribe people with snacks
The key thing for me is creating synergized flavor in my decks so I can play out a verbal story during a game. i like having my creatures interact and yell at each other.

"I think EDH would be more fun for the majority of participants if players just showed eachother their decks rather than actually playing games out."
I like playing decks with a theme made around the general, I only have one deck (out of seven) where this isn't the case.
I REFUSE to play cards just because they're good. I still don't have a Sorin Markov in my vampire deck, because even though he'd be on theme, I HATE the card. Cards like him ruin the fun when they're used against me, so I don't use them against other people.
Similarly, I don't really do infinite combos. My blue deck wins through infinite combo, but it's a five card combo. That's not exactly easy to construct.
I'm the guy in my playgroup know for having way to many decks, and having a new deck every time I play. Between loving the deckbuilding process and my ADD, I just don't see the point in playing the same decks over and over again. Every once in a while I'll find a drck that I keep for longer then a few weeks, but even then I'll constantly tweak and edit it to keep it fresh.
That, and I seem to be the rules lawyer of the group as well. If some crazy interaction between old cards comes up, every head at the table turns to me.

This seems to be me to a fault. Add in that I tend to play in a very 'aggressive' manner -- I like to act here and now, always want to keep the pace running -- and it means I am one of the first to go in multiplayer.
Aren't cards suppose to be exiled face up unless explicitly stated in the effect?
Yeah, but from a space saving perspective, I can see why Sanity's_Eclipse does that. I know people who do that. Depending on how many people you have playing and how small the table is, it's sometimes encouraged. There aren't many decks that interact with exiled cards anyway, so most of the time no one cares.
