Simply put here is a thread for people to discuss the strongest general of each color combination. since mono colors have so many different options, it is much more difficult to evaluate them all, that may be a project for the future, however.
To be more specific, which general do you think would be the best fit for competitive level play?
I have added a poll for those to contribute, but it is very much appreciated if you contribute your reasonings for why you chose general X over all the other available options.
Keep in mind that your selection is based on Multiplayer Commander
Having said that we are dealing with 20 combinations. That is:
3 color: GWU Bant RGW Naya GRB Jund UBR Grixis WUB Esper RWB Dega GUR Ceta BGU Ana GBW Necra WRU Raka
So I'll go down the list as such starting with boros and so forth, the plan is to go through them all. Each poll will have 48 hours to collect data. (I think that is fair.)
So who will win the battle of the Commanders? Find out and support your favorite commander!

I gave my vote to Stonebrow, his crazy agro really gets exponentially crazy quickly. Overall... I think that G/R has sort of a lack of solid commanders though so I dont feel like he has much good competition... Wort is possibly a decent pick as well but overall there are a lot of meh commanders in G/R

I have officially moved to MTGNexus. I just wanted to let people know as my response time to salvation decks being bumped is very hit or miss.
She comes down the fastest, and fuels you with either of her mana abilities, either in general ramping or with say, Kessig Wolf Run, and because she's an elf :p.
I do kinda agree that RG could use some more generals, though.
Man, I wanted to say my favorite one is Jerrad of the Closed Fist, just so I can make a terrible punch related pun. But it's just so bad, the whole idea was scrapped. Stupid Closed Fist, why can't you pack a little more punch.
Please vote for Stangg the man. Not only I love it when it came out. It goes so well with pump spells. Lovisa Coldeyes pump him and his twin for a grand total of 4.... yum.... In fact I am now planning on making Stangg pump....
I vote for Wort because goblins are cool and copying stuff is sub-zero cool.

Gruul decks generally excel at aggressive strategies and Stonebrow, Krosan Hero is the best at curbstomping. Many of R/G's best creatures have Trample and Stonebrow makes those creatures even better. Green can ramp really well, has some solid card draw, and has some great creature tutors and between the two of them you can find some really strong removal spells. Throw in some extra combat steps to hit even harder, some big X-spells to finish out games, and if you're feeling really mean you can run plenty of land destruction to leave people vulnerable to your face smashing.
Personally I like Radha more than any of those other guys because she's a ramp spell you'll always have and thats what green wants and red needs. That said I still voted for Wort, doubling up on spells the way Wort can is simply an amazing way to gain card advantage or to just blow people away.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.
It's Wort, even though I like Stonebrow, Radha, AND Ulasht better. Big mana is just so powerful. Double Genesis Wave? Double Tooth and Nail? Double... whatever big Red spells are good? Wort's a beast.
No real run-away winner here. I voted for Ulasht because he's the only one I've ever actually built. the deck was a bit janky but it made a mess of mana and tokens and overran lots of other decks without going infinite. Loads of fun.
That being said, I can see the arguments for lots of the other commanders on the list.

I've gotta give it to Stonebrow, Krosan Hero. Though, I'm a bit biased, as I've been wanting to build a Stonebrow deck for a while now. I think he's a beast, and lends itself especially well to the R/G aggro strategy that the colors are so good at.
Stonebrow, with a good LD package could probably wallop on decks all day. Alot of green card draw depends on the size of your dudes, so Stonebrow seems good in that department too. In terms of non-voltron aggro decks, he one of the best.
Wort, however can play one-sided LD along with a ton of broken mana ramping and copied creature/artifact/enchantment/land removal and simultaneously gain son much card advantage. Ending the game with a comet storm is not only feasible, it's easy.
so my vote goes to Wort, Just because I know how broken she/It can be.
EDIT: Realized there is a big enough troll to pick Lady of the Mountain lol, hey at least she isn't affected by Torpor Orb right?
I voted Radha, because she smooths out ramping really well.
Wort is (by far) more of a powerhouse, but you can always Survival, TnN, Natural Order her out a little later in the game.

Ulasht is an excellent fit for multiplayer because it's unpredictable. It's consistently deadly, but the journey is never the same.
Of course I'm biased. I really think the deck is just insanely fun, lol.
