I have a Gisela EDH deck and every time I play it I realize that the curve is a little high for my comfort. I already run cards like Baneslayer Angel, Malignus, Thundermaw Hellkite, and Zealous Conscripts I am just wondering if I missed any obviously good Gisela creatures.
Let me rephrase:
Is Flametongue Kavu just not good enough as a 4 drop for Gisela?
It's acceptable, but 4 is kind of an awkward toughness in EDH. Most "big" things have 5-6 toughness, and most little things have 1-2. It's probably better to run Outrage Shaman, who still takes down little things when he hits the field, and takes down big things when Kiki-jiki, Mirror Breaker'd. And is inherently tutorable due to 2 power and Being a Goblin.

People have forgotten that Hero of Oxid Ridge and Hero of Bladehold used to rule standard. those two thugs could deal OMG damage with Gisela in play. And now you have Instigator Gang and my man Marton Stromgald. Now you got big bad attacking tokens. Left unblocked and unchecked could be very lethal on a single attack step.
Also, Sheldon, I summon thee to weigh in on the Banlist thread as to why Protean Hulk is banned but Tooth and Nail is not.
Two mana makes a world of difference...As well as the fact that protean hulk is a creature. Mainly the creature part to be honest. So many more ways to abuse a creature than a 9 mana sorcery.
I really like Markov Blademaster and Hound of Griselbrand as cheap, early beaters. The Blademaster can get absolutely out of hand if played early and the Hound is solid early and surprisingly nasty with Gisela out.
Batterskull is a solid 5-drop. It's easy to fetch, is great value with Godo, Bandit Warlord, and keeps your life total up so you don't kill yourself with your Earthquake effects.
Depends on what you want to do with Gisela. In our playgroup there's a Gisela deck that is more punisher enchantments/artifacts than creatures, taking advantage of Gisela's ability. It routinely wrecks face.

With Gisela, Flametongue ETB and deals 8 dmg.
Look into Urabrask the Hidden for more haste and making opponents creature "cant' block" when they ETB.
Hero of Bladehold is underrated in EDH that it can easily get out of control if not killed. Heck with Gisela in play, I can see it hitting for 14 power on 1st swing.
My Brion Stoutarm deck's 4- and 5-drop slots don't contain a lot of creatures, but there are a few gems in there.
Kor Cartographer is, as noted above, good because ramp in your colors is so scarce. Archon of Justice is a solid beater that doubles as removal. Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs provides a great defense against non-evasive attackers, especially with Gisela on the table. Magma Phoenix and Magmasaur could work well with Gisela, sweeping enemy creatures off the board while having little impact on your own board presence. Thunderblust is essentially a reusable Ball Lightning.
For non-creatures in that cost range, I assume you've already looked at Lightmine Field and Pyrohemia.
I have seen quite a few guys I hadn't even thought about such as Heartlless Hidetsugu and Hound of Griselbrand and I totally forgot about Thunderblust! I have thought about cards like Lightmine Field and Pyrohemia but the problem is that my general never stays on the field for very long even though I run quite a few ways to protect her so I just didn't feel they would be that relevant. If anyone has had good luck with either enchantment I would love to hear about it.

Good calls. Glimmerpoint Stag and Flickerwisp are incredibly flexible as well.
Also, Sheldon, I summon thee to weigh in on the Banlist thread as to why Protean Hulk is banned but Tooth and Nail is not.
And as a final note, Heartless Hidetsugu is ludicrous in Gisela.

Not when Inferno Titan was printed. I used to believe nothing can top the greatness of FTK.(and morphling and psychatog)

I actually like burn for 4, even Flame Slash. 4 damage takes out some of the most dangerous generals, including Zur the Enchanter, Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind, Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, Scion of the Ur-Dragon, Damia, Sage of Stone, Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer, Kaervek, the Merciless, Karador, Ghost Chieftan, and Skithyrix, the Blight Dragon. It also takes out most utility guys, and a long list of other deadly generals that you want to be able to deal with cheaply and easily before they get out of hand. For 5 and 6 toughness things, you can always burn after a block.

WUBRG Some of these decks can actually win games...WUBRG
How I know I should build a deck:
Stonehewer Giant (swing with Gisela, attach Grafted Exoskeleton at instant speed)
Kor Cartographer (Ramp in RW is hard to find)
Mindclaw Shaman (get a ramp spell, removal, draw, etc.)
Krenko, Mob Boss (if you aren't playing a goblin deck people tend to ignore him, he's often like a fragile Goblin Assault with upside.
Aven Mindcensor is incredible and hilarious.
