So I've decided to play burning wish in my lyzolda deck so I have access to hate that would normally just be dead some games and great in others in my wishlist, also it has some versatile spells, so I thought we could discuss and suggest other good wishlist targets.
As you see I have board wipe, targeted destruction for land, creature and artifact in 1 card, island and plains hate, wake of destruction and green and white creature hate, as well as creature steal and combo disruption.
what do you guys think?
If you have nothing to say other than "they shouldn't be played" or "they are illegal" then please don't bother posting, and for those that have that mindset here you go:

Rather than filling every deck with banal responses, it is preferable to allow some flexibility in the composition of a deck.
Players may bring a 10 card sideboard in addition to their 99 cards and 1 Commander.
After Commanders are announced, players have 3 minutes to make 1-for-1 substitutions to their deck.
Any cards not played as part of the deck may be retrieved by "wishes".
Reasoning:
Highly tuned threats piloted by skilled opponents mandate efficient answers. The minimum number of response cards required to ensure they are available in the early turns can easily overwhelm the majority of an EDH deck's building space.
Sideboards allow players to respond to the "best" strategies in a timely fashion . They should be strongly considered as a necessary defense against brokenness and degeneracy in an environment where no gentlemans agreement on style of play exists.
For the record I play with many different groups so I never see the same people, and for another record, my group is full of degeneracy.

I think this is why I hate wishboards in EDH. They aren't a steadfast rule, most playgroups don't use them. Part of the challenge of deckbuilding is lost when you can stick your situational hate outside the game to grab as needed.
EDH/Commander is a social format, right? So why don't people use their social skills to discuss what they like and don't like, instead of adopting a list with 60+ banned cards?
I don't think this is productive to the thread and this is spam.
FYI: Pointing out spam and back seat moderating is also spam.
NGW is right. In the 5+ years of playing edh I've never seen someone with a side board or play a wish spell. I could make a 5c wish deck and just grab whatever. It would be the most boring deck ever.

The EDH stax primer When you absolutely, positively got to kill every permanent in the room, accept no substitutes.
I don't think Ritual of the Machine is that great. Since you have access to red, I'd rather be running one of the many red theft effects instead, especially since your general can dispose of the creature afterwards.
ritual permanently takes the creature though, though I did consider insurrection just because I don't want it in the list but taking a whole board and sacing it to a sac outlet sounds like a great move after swinging

Situational hate is just that, "situational". Acid Rain is useless in most games but an absolute blowout against the likes of Azusa. I find that the extra toolbox effect of a wish or 2 really adds to your deckbuilding. After all more options are a good thing.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.
Ah. Well, I like the fact that I get to tune my decks when the meta does a swing. It keeps my decks fresh and fun to play. Side boards and wish spells, to me, eliminate that. If you can build a deck with spells that can grab any answer out of your binder, well then you can just stick with the same build forever.

i do think color hosers on your wishboard should be left out. that just spells trouble. i can already hear a lot of whining when suddenly you wish for an anarchy
don't run color hosers like flashfires and boil. that's the kind of card that give wishboards a bad rep because they really crush one player. (of course if you play 1-1 that's fine; i play more group games where making one person sit there sucks for them)
There are rules about a 10 card sideboard but they are optional so people can use them, you don't have to use a sideboard in standard either, no one will make you.
I run a wish board in my slobad list and put Blasphemous Act in it as well as []cardPalverize[/card]. and I agree about the specific color hosers being pretty mean, maybe Acid rain, no other color is going to come close to their ramp and it would be nice to put P. Titan in his place.
This card does nothing. Our meta allows wishes, but no sideboards so they spell just does nothing! They see it like I do as a copout on not building your 99 to have answers for things.
If you have an Urborg, put Mutilate on main and replace it's SB slot with the tutor.
I do run urborg, I can't believe I missed anarchy so that's going in over something. I want it to be clear my meta is harsh, everyone runs combo decks and I am the only one who has proactively moved towards removing infinite combos from my deck. We have no qualms about mld and the like so I want to use everything I can to stop them from comboing out before I do my thing, I think that's only fair. Zur, arcum, azami, skytherix, we have a really annoying meta, so it's not too unfair to run a wishboard here.

You would still want to change your deck when new cards come out. Also having a few narrow answers in your sideboard doesn't change the fact that would need to adjust your deck regularly. 10 extra cards isn't going to make your deck run perfectly and give you every answer every time you need it. All it does is make one card in your deck an answer to most situations and make your deck a little less predictable, both of which sound like good things to me.

So you've essentially banned wishes. I had no idea so many people considered wishes banworthy.

Because people think allowing Wishes means allowing everyone who uses them 10 additional cards flat-out, when in fact the Wishes are a modular spell with up to 10 different effects. It's like saying Split, Flip, and Transform cards should count for two deck slots.
Wishes are good. But as I've said don't put color hosers. These are the things that would make the wishes banned in a playgroup. Especially things that destroy lands of a type. It really isn't different from wishing a shatterstorm when one deck is an artifact based arcum deck. however people will believe when you start putting flashfires that you are out to get them.
