Good for what? Do you like to play creatures? I do, even in my mono black decks. I suppose it has it's uses, but any time it's good all an opponent has to do is skip a turn and it's gone. I don't like to give my opponents choices; that's why I play Mutilate.
Well I'm considering it in my Phage the Untouchable deck. Once I get her out there rarely do I need any other creatures. And it kind adds to the politics of the game. With 3 other people in a multiplayer game they're all going to be looking at each other to make the move. Kind of like the Standstill effect

Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.
stax.... early on it is used to destroy some creatures. later you could skip your turn when your smokestack has a lot of counters on it. or you can go kismet+stasis then skip all your turns.
I loved it in my mono-black control Maga, Traitor to Mortals deck. It didn't run a lot of creatures. Just a lot of ways to control hands, creatures on the board and win with big X-drain spells. Nothing wrong with this card and running cards like mutilate

Well, that would be the smart thing to do. But players aren't always smart. (Also, don't discount the possibility of being able to put Lethal Vapors into play during the turn being controlled - Vedalken Orrery, Leyline of Anticipation, Alchemist's Refuge, Academy Rector, Eureka, Show and Tell, etc.)
I use the vapors in my spellslinger Garza Vol, Plague Queen deck. I run maybe 6 creatures and as many ways to take turns as possible. With Howling Mine effects abound, I get even more out of a turn skipped.

Here's a trick for Phage and Lethal Vapors. If you have Torpor Orb out, the Vapors trigger doesn't go off. However few people know this interaction and especially if you play online, as you won't play against the same people over and over, you can catch a lot of people by surprise.
Edit: You can also play indestructible creatures into it and end the turn with Sundial while the trigger is on the stack. It's really an amazing card in Phage.
ah you're right, I must have misread Torpor Orb to only affect creatures abilities. Well I'm not looking to 'cheat' persay I prefer to play fair. thanks though some nice suggestions

Not cheating. It's there for everyone to see. RTFC people.
I've been looking for an excuse to use this one. Obviously solid if you're not creature heavy, but it has other uses as well. If you run it alongside something like Vicious Shadows, or if you stick a Blood Artist/Falkenrath Noble before you drop Vapors, it can force someone else at the table to get rid of it. I've done some wonderful things with Tombstone Stairwell and Tainted Aether providing constant death triggers, and this can certainly operate in a similar fashion.
It helps that EDH/Commander players are frequently greedy, meaning a good chunk of them will wait for someone else to skip a turn to get rid of it. I've seen the same sort of thing happen with Decree of Silence, where no one wanted to be the one to throw their spells into it.
