I've always liked this card and would love to build an edh deck around it's effects, but I have no idea what general to use or what other cards I should put into it besides something like token generators. (Heat Shimmer, Splinter Twin, etc). Was playing around with the idea of unearth, but idk if it seems like a good idea or not.
Sedris, unearth, sundial, Teferi's Veil, Any regular exile then RTB effect, in fact i just built that deck, called Sedri's Cruelty which is about pitching things, unearthing them, and then flicker/phasing/Sundial to avoid the EOT exile (flicker works best with this, but Veil prevents their exile at EOT because "phased out doesn't exist", as does sundial.

Sundial again? Ugh...it's just a dreamcrusher card. You want to be doing powerful stuff in Sedris, not doing something janky. Sedris is a complimentary commander, not one you can reliably build around.
How do you build a sundial deck anyway? Like...sundial + phyrexian dreadnought or..? I dont get it.
Red steal effects, like Threaten or Act of Agression, can be sun dialed to make them permanent theft.
Unfortunately, they cannot. Cards that say "until end of turn" will not combo with Sundial. Cards that say "at beginning of the next end step" or "at the beginning of your end step" will combine with Sundial. (You activate Sundial while the above trigger is on the stack).

He's a commander with an impressive ability. How would you not build around him? I'll say that Void Maw is a trap, but not Sundial.
Based on my extensive experience playing Sedris, I'm inclined to disagree. The problem with sundial in Sedris is that, with your general having a high cmc, you cannot viably build the deck around him in terms of one interaction. At 6cmc with no form of evasion or protection, it is very easy for you opponents to have the resources to answer him by the time you need him. At 8cmc, he is usually not worth it. Yes you can wait for 9 mana and probably ensure some value, but with sundial out that's 10 mana before you get to do all those "cool, nifty" things with him and that's pretty much the best case scenario. It's just not going to happen.
I've tried it before and every time sundial was a dead card. The most it ever did was exile a spell I didnt want to see on my end step...which is ok, but not when it's taking up an entire deck slot. Slots better used for good reanimator targets that don't depend on sundial for additional maximum worth.
I mean, if you don't really care about the quality of your deck, go ahead and include sundial. Just remember that for each card you include that isn't some insane reanimator target, your deck is losing consistency and synergy with its general. Sedris makes it pretty clear what he has synergy with, and that is big fat dead monsters. He's aggro/combo (that's what true reanimator is) and yeah you can play him as just combo, but honestly there are many other generals that do it better.
"You know Manningham's story of the burgher's wife who bade Dick Burbage to her bed after she had seen him in Richard III and how Shakespeare, overhearing, without more ado about nothing, took the cow by the horns and, when Burbage came knocking at the gate, answered from the capon's blankets: William the conqueror came before Richard III."
This seems one of the strongest things to do with it. Play it in a way that adds value and interacts with a lot of your existing engines. The Sudden Disappearance interaction might be a little over the top in that the next next time your playgroup sees you drop the Sundial they'll kill it or you as soon as possible.
One interesting combo I've heard is to use Zirilian as your general. Off the first activation, you search for Hoarding Dragon. Hoarding Dragon fetches Sundial, sac Hoarding Dragon to a sac outlet, and voila - Zirilian + Sundial.
Geist of Saint Traft an great option. He is a strong aggro general on his own, he gets better with Sundial of the Infinite, and he is in colors that get better (as mentioned by Aranthar) with Sundial. In fact, I think have just been inspired to build it.

"Each creature card in your graveyard has unearth 2B. (: Return the card to the battlefield. The creature gains haste. Exile it at the beginning of the next end step or if it would leave the battlefield. Unearth only as a sorcery.)"
Flicker effects don't work with Unearth. Phasing and sundial only prevents the EOT triggers. If an unearthed creature leaves the battlefield, it's exiled unless you can add another replacement effect.
As of right now I'm trying to use it with splinter twin coupled with things like doubling season/parallel lives in a mayael deck. Heat Shimmer as well. Add a charmbreaker devils and maybe I get it back and go for 4 tokens a turn? But that's ideal obviously. And idk about sedris. 6 CMC and my creature gets exiled if it dies. It's not in green either so no ramp. hmmmm...

If a creature returned to play with unearth would leave the battlefield for any reason, it's exiled instead — unless the spell or ability that's causing the creature to leave the battlefield is actually trying to exile it. In that case, it succeeds at exiling it. If it later returns the creature card to the battlefield (as Oblivion Ring or Flickerwisp might, for example), the creature card will return as a new object with no relation to its previous existence. The unearth effect will no longer apply to it.

You don't want to be doing something janky. Don't assume everyone else has the same priorities for their decks. I'm happy to build something sub-optimal if I find it entertaining, and Sundial of the Infinite would definitely qualify.
Geist of Saint Traft is another natural place for the card, and you can make use of plenty of flicker effects on your opponents' permanents and turn them into permanent exiles.
Zirilan was also mentioned, that's definitely a good use for the Sundial.
Actually, if you use Torpor Orb, Phage is pretty good.

Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
I would optimally not like to get stuck in a monocolored deck, personal preference because of my experiences playing against Iona.
The commander doesn't really need to be heavily focused with sundial play but rather the colors. I may just go Sedris in the end if there are no other good commanders. Any good green/color commanders that are semi-compatible with sundial?

To build a 'sundial deck' you simply play cards that are good and then are better with Sundial. Sneak Attack, Cauldron Dance, Slave of Bolas, Spinal Embrace, Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, et al. Sedris is the deck for it.
