I have been looking at a few different cards that ask for you to sacrifice lands as part of their affects and am trying to decide if there is any real, worthwhile application for them. The two that stick out are Squandered Resources and Overlaid Terrain. I know the Knight of the Reliquary is great because it essentially cycles your lands but are there any practical applications for other cards, such as the two I mentioned?
Dust Bowl all the way. It's been pivotal for me several times (just today Dust Bowl was responsible for keeping the RUG deck in check by getting rid of Wolf Run, and keeping the mono-B deck in check by getting rid of Coffers). Dust Bowl+Dakmor Salvage or Crucible of Worlds can prove to be very mean.
And, while technically not sacrifice, Seismic Assault can be quite amusing. Assault+Crucible seems like a fun setup for a free Shock each turn. I've got a Planeswalker-format deck on MTGO with 3x Assault, 4x Treasure Hunt, and 53x lands, which can often murderdeathmurderkillmurder on turn 4, just by chucking my deck at my opponent's head.
Claws of Gix is awesome. Assuming you've got the mana, you can counter just about any spell targeting your field. And gain a few life in the process. Using it on lands seems uncommon (or desperate), though.
I found another interesting card with a land sac component, Excavation. There are a lot of cards mentioned in this thread I had just never considered before, i am getting an urge to create a janky deck based around personal land sac. Why? Because it's a bit of an absurd idea to build a full deck around and would be good for a few laughs.
Riftstone Portal and Flagstones of Trokair love being sacrificed. There's also Dakmor Salvage which doesn't mind so much, since you can easily recur it for continuous sacrificing pleasure. Then there's the God's Eye, which leaves a lot to be desired in edh.
Crucible of Worlds can help offset the lands your sacrificing since you can play them right out of the yard. And with guys like Terravore and Knight of the Reliquary can net a big benefit off you sacrificing lands.
I think most the others hit all the great land sacs. My personal favorite is Dust Bowl.

Of course it's good to include things like Life from the Loam and Crucible of Worlds too if you have them.

I was about to suggest this.
Anyway for untapped Forest, the funniest would be Wood Elemental.
Decks:
WUG Jenara, Asura of War
WR Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas
WU Lavinia of the Tenth
UR Mizzix of the Izmagnus
Also, Claws of Gix and Edge of Autumn.
You'll have to be creative to make use of these, however.

And, though not a land sacrificer per se, Life and Limb allows some interesting strategies.

Putting lands in your yard can help you abuse stuff like Land Tax, Oath of Lieges, Life From the Loam, Restore Balance, Martyr's Bond, and Worm Harvest.
