Seeing as I'd like to connect with the equipment [CARD=sword of feast and famine]I run most frequently, I'd almost always rather have evasion. If you were running a bunch of equipment that gave evasion but a minimal power boost (maybe you're a big fan of Bladed Pinions. I'm not judging), I'd consider him, but that's a pretty small niche to fill. Just being big isn't normally enough for me to want a creature.

All dudes that get +X+X per equipment fail. Evasion trumps the buff when Sword of X/Y, Worldslayer and Quietus Spike reign supreme.
Even Auriok Steelshaper (who is better imho) was carp. This is mono white kemba speaking and i've been refining my list for months in an attempt to make it compedetive.

Given up magic because a)its a waste of money b)it sucks the joy out of life c)im doing more interesting things than tapping pieces of plastic that have no intrinsic value.
I encourage you to do the same. Instead of FNM try Friday Night Something Spontaneous. Instead of thousands of hours and dollars on plastic imagine it with a significant other or friends sharing something meaningful. I randomly typed a new password, so bon voyage itches i encourage you to follow suit! Cheers
I had a dedicated Equipment deck and he got cut really early. He ends up being just a dude. If you have equipment a 1/1 token will get there so use cards that do something other than just get big. 4 mana will get you some pretty amazing creatures too.

I agree. White gives you options such as Glimmerpoint Stag and Indomitable Archangel, which aren't even popular, but are almost always better. Even colorless gives you fairly unpopular options such as Masticore and Su-Chi that are still generally better.

As long as you're facing something within those colors and they're not running any artifact men. Being able to swing into the player with the threatening board position rather than the guy stuck on 4 lands with a Temple of the False God in play is a decent perk as well. Being able to get the sword you want the effects from rather than the one that lets you swing in safely is just gravy.
Pro colors is wonderful, don't get me wrong, but I want more reliable evasion than that on my guys when I'm dependent on getting in for combat damage.

This, for every creature in my deck. The only time "big" is sufficient for me is when "big" means "one-shot". And that's pretty rare outside of generals like Mimeoplasm or infectious dudes like Blightsteel Colossus.

Hm. While that's a generally agreeable philosophy, what do big creatures have to do with the OP's 2/2 vanilla creature for 4 in question?
With 1 equipment on him he's a 4/4 for 4 vanilla. Lame
With 2 equipment on him he's a 6/6 for 4 vanilla. Tough, but still lame, and it's not likely to actually be turn 4 when this curves out.
With 3 equipment on him... you should be asking yourself why you didn't just run a voltron general to use all these fancy toys in the first place. And if you are running a voltron general, why are you equipping this guy?
Compare with, say, Uril, the Miststalker. In addition to the awesome pump ability they both have, Uril starts out a 5/5 for 5, has Hexproof, can be accessed at any time from your command zone, and only has to swing for 21 damage. These are all good qualities of a pumping voltron card playable in EDH. Granted, Uril uses Auras, so I guess you could argue they even out. Still, there's plenty of other voltron options, many of them legendary creatures, that do much cooler things.

Not much, which is the point. Beyond the special abilities/buffs granted by the equipment, Punisher just... gets bigger. And without anything else, that's simply not good enough (in the general case) to go into one of my decks. Hence, Loxodon Punisher is not a particularly good card.
Anybody have any experience with this card?
I see what you did there
Reading the OP I think he'd be a cool general? That would really take advantage of the P/T boost.

Mono Red's Strengths and Mono White's Strengths
All of those swords do give evasion.
