Does it? I know it makes all permanents artifacts, but artifacts can have colors, can they not, as long as they have colored symbols in their casting cost.
All permanents are artifacts in addition to their other types.
All cards that aren't on the battlefield, spells, and permanents are colorless.
Players may spend mana as though it were mana of any color.
I actually prefer liquimetal coating to Lattice when I'm not trying to abuse it. It does mostly the same stuff under the no-abuse constraints, but it involves considerably less investment while granting you more control over the effect. With the coating, its actually a good thing if somebody else has a Naturalize effect in hand, because suddenly any must-deal-with threat played by your mutual enemies can be dealt with.
Well I am using it in my Kruphix, God of Harvest deck. The ability to use the mana as any color increases his value as a commander. Though the card itself is broken and probably should be banned. There are just so many cards that combo with it that can win you the game. Vandalblast overloaded, that tyrant that allows you to win the game if control 20 artifacts are examples in red. I am also using it to turn cards like naturalize and cards like that into spot removal. Not going to lie, I will abuse it in combos for win conditions, but even without the combo pieces the card still has value in my deck.
So go for it, use it so you can touch enchantments, it is very much worth it. Though it will most likely make you a target.
Also, PinkFreud, you are right. Mycosynth only makes cards not on the battlefield colorless. When they are on it, they have their color.
I would say no, mainly because it would benefit opponents too much. If you are just making things viable traget to make go pop, maybe you should not play mono red. Every color has it's pros and cons.
Yes.
Doh! You're right, I didn't read it completely or accurately. My bad, thanks for the clarification!
