Tutoring artifacts in easy and fun in EDH, and I found my old Ashnod's Altar in a stack of cards last night. Now I want to assemble infinite combos with it!
I use it in my Sek'Kuar deck to combo with Junk Diver + My Retriever + Genesis Chamber / Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper / Pawn of Ulamog
With one in GY, play the other, generate a token, sac it and the token to the Altar, bring the other back to your hand, play it, rinse repeat.
It also enables tons of things to combo such as Nim Deathmantle + Grave Titan / Marsh Flitter / Priest of Gix / Mogg War Marshall / Sprouting Thrinax. Anything making 2 or more tokens on its way in or out basically combines with altar + mantle for infinite mana.
Better with Triskelavus when you got the altar and the blade you can kill everything and do infinite mana and infinite tokens. But it's pretty hard to set 7 mana for the Triskelavus 1 for equip with the blade and everybody can respond you equip and kill your combo -_-' and you finish your turn full tap but with some extra mana and counterspell that can be a really good win condition in a artefact deck.
The altar was pretty good with Thopter Foundry and Sword of the Meek infinite life, token and colorless but can only be play in esper or five color deck.
Ghave, Guru of Spores has a plethora of combos with Ashnod's Altar, as does Nim Deathmantle. Any creature with Persist, Undying, or which makes tokens when it enters the battlefield, leaves the battlefield, or for (or less) works well with Altar and Deathmantle.
Just yesterday in my Karn deck I used Krark-Clan Ironworks (although Ashnod's Altar would've worked exactly the same), Karn, and Nim Deathmantle to exile everyone else's graveyard with Relic of Progenitus and then exile everyone's library with Pyxis of Pandemonium. Tap Relic/Pyxis, animate Relic/Pyxis with Karn, sacrifice Relic/Pyxis to Ironworks (Altar would have worked just as well), reanimate with Deathmantle. (There was a separate combo going for the extra I needed each cycle.)
You have to time the Wurmcoil Engine correctly with the stack to get it working. First, you sacrifice the Wurmcoil Engine, which puts two "dies" triggers on the stack; the Deathmantle and the Engine itself. Ashnod's Altar is a mana ability, which means it doesn't use the stack. Place he Deathmantle on the stack first and the engine second. The first in, last out rules of the stack allow you to put two tokens into play, which can then be sacrificed to Ashnod's altar for 4, leaving you with 6. once that is done, you pay 4 for the Deathmantle and now you have a fresh 8/8 black artifact creature - zombie in play and 2. Repeat this process once again and you will end up with the same thing and 4. You can keep doing this all day to net infinite colorless mana. Once you have infinite colorless mana, you can now start sacrificing Wurmcoil Engine and paying the cost of Nim deathmantle with said mana. This will create infinite tokens for you. However, with infinite colorless mana, do you really need the tokens? Maybe sometimes.

[EDH] It's built to be a casual format and to a specific vision, and if you don't like the vision, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's not going to change to accommodate everyone. Big tent is not a goal.
Guess it's up to me to say Myr Battlesphere. All by itself, it makes enough mana to cast itself again + . Easy to get a loop going with Nim Deathmantle and make it a wincon in itself by dropping in Disciple of the Vault.
Also naturally good with non-artifact tokens. One of the meanest is Twilight Drover. Sac a spirit for a counter, use 1 to get back 2 tokens, etc. Goes infinite with things like a Midnight Guard enchanted with Karametra's Favor to generate the 1 white mana per loop, to name just one example.

The problem with defining this format by what is "fun" is that everyone seems to define fun as what they don't lose to. If you keep losing to easily answered cards, that means you should improve your deck. If you don't want to improve your deck, then you should come to peace with the idea that you are going to lose because you chose to not interact with better strategies.
Have the titan on the field, exile it with Fiend Hunter, then sac the hunter and titan returns. Titan gets back the hunter and you start all over again. Of course, this combo works with any sac outlet, this is just one of the more useful ones.
If you have Ashnod's Altar and use Avacyn's Collar you can cause infinite token deaths, so with something like Unruly Mob or Ninth Bridge Patrol you can make infinitely large creatures, or alternatively something like Blood Artist will let you gain infinite life/ do infinite damage. Also causes any "enter the battlefield" effects to proc. Overall a pretty easy and versatile combo.

Sorry, I was looking at it on the table and I missed Conspiracy. Not the set or a conspiracy card, it is an old card that my dad gave me called Conspiracy, it makes all your creatures everywhere of a chosen type, so I choose human and then even my spirits are humans and that makes them eligible for Avacyn's. Alternatively if you have infinite mana as well you could use Mistform Mutant or Unnatural Selection. Or if you have the ability to untap infinitely you could use Image Crafter. Also if you can get your hands on Xenograft it is the easiest way.If you have Ashnod's Altar and use Avacyn's Collar you can cause infinite token deaths, so with something like Unruly Mob or Ninth Bridge Patrol you can make infinitely large creatures, or alternatively something like Blood Artist will let you gain infinite life/ do infinite damage. Card advantage is not the same thing as card draw. Something for 2B cannot be strictly worse than something for BBB or 3BB. If you're taking out Swords to Plowshares for Plummet, you're a fool. Stop doing these things!
Boonweaver Giant + gift of immortality makes infinite mana with Altar. best part is you don't even need gift in your hand to combo. play Giant, search for gift make arbitrary amounts of mana.

The first that came to mind is Pentavus and Blade of the Bloodchief.
What are some other fun combos? I prefer odd/wierd combos, like Pentavite tokens, instead of "infinite mana + Banefire".

As most all others have said, Nim Deathmantle is Ashnod's Altar's best friend, and vise versa.

Alternately, any creature that produces two or more tokens when it ETB or dies. So, Wurmcoil Engine, Symbiotic Beast, Symbiotic Elf, Mitotic Slime, Symbiotic Wurm, Hornet Queen, Hallowed Spiritkeeper, Geist-Honored Monk, Mausoleum Guard, Deranged Hermit, Precursor Golem, Goblin Marshal, Maul Splicer, and Grave Titan.
You can also use Abzan Ascendancy, Field of Souls, Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Primal Vigor, or (non-spirits only) Requiem Angel to turn any creature that makes one token when it ETB or dies (the other splicers, Ambassador Oak, Doomed Traveler, Penumbra Bobcat, Penumbra Spider, Penumbra Kavu, Penumbra Wurm) go infinite. Or just use two of the non-doubling cards.
Another one is Altar + Ghave, Guru of Spores + any undying creature (Young Wolf is the easiest one.)
Ashnod's Altar is also great with persist creatures and Cathars' Crusade or Melira, Sylvok Outcast.
