I think Dark Confidant and Stoneforge should be on the list.
I don't know about Dark Confidant in this format. He can net you bigger losses of life considering the mana curve in EDH is higher than it is in Legacy where Bob really shines. Stoneforge Mystic could be up there, Erayo can definitely be considered, as can Gaddock Teeg. Gilded Drake is also very good.
Since this is EDH that we're talking about, the two drop spots are usually reserved for either early mana development. In that sense, I'd say that the best two drop spot would be almost any two-drop mana accelerator. It could be anything from Trace of Abundance (but no Fertile Ground please), Coldsteel Heart, or better still, Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary.

There is a higher curve.. but we do start with 40 life. Unless your deck is fatties.dec, you should be pretty good
Dark Confidant maybe in 1vs1, but definately not in multiplayer.
In general... Just all two cmc mana acceleration or land fetchers. It would be too early for counterspells and removal, and playing aggressive two mana creatures rarely makes sense in multiplayer. Card draw is also not necessary at that time.
I think so. If he resolves he's drawing you an extra card per turn- whether you choose to use that power to aggro/control/ramp/etc., it's more options.
"Best" is pretty subjective, so I'll list some of my more widely used 2 drops.
I think that Umezawa's Jitte deserves a spot as one of the best universal 2 drops, as it is powerful and versatile. While I'm on the subject of equipment, let's not forget Lightning Greaves.
Copy Artifact is super cheap too as a sculpting steel effect, and the only downside is that it is also an enchantment.
I have also grown a liking to Dance of Many, while not as easily splashed for turn 2 plays in multicolor decks, you do get a clone effect. Paired with Claws of Gix for a potential 3 mana Rite of Replication.
Scroll Rack is a great hand filter and becomes extraordinary with some shuffling effects which every deck should have a bit of in my opinion.
Life from the Loam enables land recurssion and green and is engine grease that I heavily use in my green decks, usually being paired with my cycle lands.
Dark Confidant discussion again? He's great in legacy because the decks have low cmc. Casting bob in EDH may allow you to draw extra cards, but it comes at an unreasonable price. Keep in mind, in one turn rotation, you can get damaged from multiple players, think of it as potential damage you can take is triple that of a regular legacy game.

Some decks can handle damage from the whole table, so Bob plays into black's best strength, Suicide tempo.
1v1 he really shines, I've had played 10 1v1 games this weekend and the first person to play Bob won the match. Only 7/10 games he was played on turn 2/3.
It's such a house and sneaks in protected by counters. Such a good 2 drop.
But stoneforge mystic is still the best 2 drop in the format in my opinion. Gaddock is kind niche but it's up there in power level. Bitter blossom should go in anything black. Gilded Drake is another house.
It really really depends on 1v1 vs Multiplayer but...
Most of what I would say has already been mentioned, but Survival, Bitterblossom, Greaves, Jitte
Dark Confidant would be much higher up the list if this were specifically for 1v1.
I hate hate hate the following assumption:

Not everybody plays EDH the same way you do and not everybody only plays multiplayer...people need to get that out of their systems.
Coiling Oracle and Surivival of the Fittest are my favorites. Survival just does crazy things in this format, especially because so many decks play with the graveyard.

I think these are definitely up there.
I can't get on board with most equipment unless it's Lightning Greaves or a cool utility equip like Sunforger, so I have trouble giving Stoneforge the nod. She's good, but I don't usually have much use for her.
It's already been mentioned, but Scroll Rack is an insanely good card. Not only is it excellent with shuffle, but with Life From the Loam or a Future Sight-esque effect/any effect that allows you to utilize the top of your library it becomes an extremely powerful draw/CA engine.

Sphere of Resistance and Thorn of Amethyst is also some of my favorites to enable early on to slow down the table enough for me to gain tempo.
