I can't decide which one to get. They all look good to me, but i can only get one at the moment. :\
It would be cool if you guys could throw in your two cents about the decks like a short pros and cons list or something to help me decide better on which one to get. Thanks in advance!
Pro's: They are good lists of card per deck they all cover nice area's of EDH play and you for the most art get more than what you pay for. They also open up new and interesting ways of playing to old players as well as allowing new ones to adjust to the enviroment. the color wedges are also fun as well because anyone can find a combo they like.
Con's: Well they are precons, abed pretty good for being a precon, they will be limited in what they can do. For most if not all these decks alot of money will be put simply to lands just to smoothen the decks up and if a player isent ready for the kinda finacial commitment they might find themselves losing and lose interest in the format. Also Wizards missed an oppertunity to expand on the Wedge colored cards but instead of those we got alot of mono colored cards, while the ally wedge have many creatures and spells for them most of the wedge colors for the enemy side only got a few new guys within there color.
All in all i enjoy these pre-cons and i heavily look forward to purchasing 2 of the five for myself.
Heavely Inferno
-One of the best decks out of the box, without changes it is still a great deck
-I don't like the dragon but the other 2 Generals are great
Mirror Mastery
-Amazing generals
-Not the best out of the box (IMHO)
-Needs a lot of work, but has a lot of potential
Counterpunch
-Teneb and Karador dont fit in as well as Ghave
-Potential for some combos with Ghave
-Needs work too make it work
Political Puppets
-Defensive, group huggy deck
-Not too bad if that is your thing
-Needs some more mean things to donate
Devour for Power
-Great for aggro/voltron
-Amazing generals, good synergy
-Really new cards and reprint
In short if you are not looking to invest too much in replacing cards i would recommend Devour for Power or Heavely Inferno
Teneb and Karador actually fit Counterpunch fairly well; most of the creatures in the deck like to die or have ways to kill themselves, so you'll have things you want to play from your graveyard. I don't disagree that the deck has some dubiousity, but Teneb and Karador do have significant synergy with the deck.
Political Puppets
Pros: Makes for interesting interactions, more political than the other decks. Has Nin, the Pain Artist
Cons: The cards in it suck.
Heavenly Inferno
Pros: Has a ton of splashy creatures, and spot removal. The generals are very timmy, and good if you like having big dudes that smash face.
Cons: That's what it does, splashy creatures and spot removal, not much past that
Devour For Power
Pros: By far the best value of all the decks, just the reprint EDH staples in it alone are worth more than $30. Messes with the graveyard, creatures in it are interesting. Both generals are different and can make for different decks. Skullbriar.
Cons: IMO, the color combo leaves something to be desired (BUG), the three colors overlap a lot in the color pie. (really the only con)
Mirror Mastery
Pros: Both generals are incredibly unique, and can be built around in many different ways. The color combination is very interesting IMO, lots of value in the cards. Only deck with the insane land Homeward Path.
Cons: Doesn't have white or black to deal with creatures straight up, obviously it's fatties aren't all the best due to the pricing.
Counterpunch
Pros: Does stuff with tokens, Ghave, Guru of Spores, assorted exclusive/good cards (Acorn Catapult, Scavenging Ooze, Skullclamp)
Cons: Kind of boring, some bad cards, very narrow and is unable to play the cards that would be good in this kind of deck.
All in all, I would suggest Devour for Power if you purely plan to take it apart and build another edh deck. If you want to build around them, Heavenly Inferno/Mirror Mastery/Devour for Power, depending on whether you like fatties+removal, Fatties+carddraw+random spells, or Graveyard Shenanigans+general goodstuff. If the political theme or token theme particularly strike you, pick those , but otherwise Devour For Power is the strongest, followed by Heavenly Inferno/Mirror Mastery.

Quote from Fry, from Futurama »
It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus. All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for the winter, while the octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV. But then the winter came and the grasshopper died and the octopus ate all his acorns. And also he got a racecar. Is any of this getting through to you?
Heavely Inferno
-One of the best decks out of the box, without changes it is still a great deck
-I don't like the dragon but the other 2 Generals are great
I agree, this is one of most popular ones already. It comes with a few dragons, demon and angels, but best ones will need to be acquired elsewhere. This one has a lot of potential to keep growing in interest as the tribes are heavily supported, so you have a lot of options for creatures. Auxilary products by Wizards have also provided a lot of extra dragons (FTV and Dragons V Knights). This one has more reprinted creatures, but newer spells from what I can tell.
Mirror Mastery
-Amazing generals
-Not the best out of the box (IMHO)
-Needs a lot of work, but has a lot of potential[/card]
I'm not sold on the generals, but they are very flashy and seems weakest outside political puppets of starting decks. A downside is a lot of creatures in here don't work so well with deck and ETB triggers and good creatures can be optimised, as well as control cards with some work. One upside is this deck has a lot of newly printed creatures over spells.
Counterpunch
-Teneb and Karador dont fit in as well as Ghave
-Potential for some combos with Ghave
-Needs work too make it work
The colours it is in are very good, but no general is overly supported, I think to make Ghave playable as well as other two, they had to sacrifice some synergy which shows. You could work on +1+1 counter approach or reanimation, so deck has a lot of potential. Unlike some other decks, this one has a lot of EDH staples, so for that I may be a good purchase alone, but it lacks the power overall IMO.
Political Puppets
-Defensive, group huggy deck
-Not too bad if that is your thing
-Needs some more mean things to donate
Do not like this one at all, both new generals are pretty ordinary and build around me types, with Ruhan being really off-colour in what he is doing. This deck will be doing what is called "turtling" or "group hug", as in staying out of the spotlight to try stay alive or trying to make friends with everyone. It's not a play style everyone enjoys. To play as Numot or Ruhan you'd likely have to rework deck to play as different style. To play as Zedruu you would need some nicer things to donate, so you don't give them anything, but you may like the challenge.
Devour for Power
-Great for aggro/voltron
-Amazing generals, good synergy
-Really new cards and reprint
This is the other desirable one due to colours and generals. BUG is a very strong colour combination and two new generals are very powerful, one can one hit kill, the other is possible of great card advantage. A bonus is this one has good reprints as quote says, but also has good new cards in creatures and spells. The deck is very powerful to start with and interacts well with other decks that are more powerful than yours.
In short if you are not looking to invest too much in replacing cards i would recommend Devour for Power or Heavely Inferno
I'm going for all five, but these two are ones I'll adapt first. I think all five are good in their own ways though.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.
Weiss Schwarz Sets
Accel World, Angel Beats, Familiar of Zero, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Guilty Crown, Kill La Kill, Robotics;Notes, Sword Art Online.
Chaos Partners
Arpeggio of Blue Steel: Iona, Kirishima, Kongou.
Dangan Ronpa: Asahina, Togami.
Freezing: Vibration: Chiffon, Satelizer.
Vanguard Clans Favoured
Angel Feather, Dark Irregulars, Genesis, Neonecter, Pale Moon, Shadow Paladins, Tachikaze.
Maybe I'm alone, but I really love mirror mastery.
Homeward path could end up being pricey as its a staple, and only available there.
Also, both generals are super cool, and it has tons of neat fatties.
Although it isn't as stable as devour or heavenly, the potential for explosive wins is there in spades. Slam down a trench gorger with greaves on the field and its GG barring spot removal.
Devour for Power is, in my opinion, the 'best' in terms of both value and power. It eats your money and turns it into both more money and game wins. How can you go wrong?
Devour for Power is pretty solidly in the lead in terms of value, and way up there in terms of playability out of the box. I feel like Mirror Mastery opens up more options for changes with the generals and has the best enemy pair legend, though.

[Pr]Jaya | Estrid | A rotating cast of decks built out of my box.
Personally, I love weird, crazy ideas, so I'm most likely getting Political Puppets first, followed by Heavenly Inferno.
On Topic, unless you're just like me who craves weird stuff that no one else would possibly love, I'd suggest either Heavenly Inferno (if you don't want to change the decklist too much) or Mirror Mastery (to take advantage of their insane generals).
This is sort of related, but on Channel Fireball, Devour for Power and Heavenly Inferno are only two box sets that are already sold out. Not sure on elsewhere, but people seem to perceive them more favorably if nothing else.
I also play Weiss Schwarz, Chaos, Vanguard and Wixoss.

"Whatever style you wish to play, be it fast and frenzied or slow and tactical, the surest way to defeat your opponent consistently is by dominating him or her in the war of card advantage." - Brian Wiseman, April 1996
i think the most interesting to play will be Political Puppets, but honestly, the decklist seems lackluster. I'll probably be picking up mirror mastery or heavenly inferno. Or if im getting greedy, ill get counterpunch since its worth the most money, but imo the most boring to play
All the ones I've seen are doing "normal" EDH but with the option to buy a precon to use as your deck. Me? I'm building my own Mimeoplasm deck, buying Devour for Power to sleeve up the general and Command Tower before joining the mayhem

Wait, when did counterpunch become worth the most money?
I thought devour always held that honor.
That said, I'm going U/G/R, probably with Riku at helm since the deck works better for him than animar.
Personally I suspect people underestimate this for sealed format. There isn't much good removal, so 2x Hydra Omnivore or Magmatic Force will wrap up a game REAL quick.
I'll be getting Heavenly Lunch and Devour for Lunch. These two are the main ones that have me interested, though i would like Mirror Mastery somewhere down the road.

Tantarus: It didn't make the gaka greifer level, so it should be fine
I preordered all five of them at a discount when I heard about Greaves and Sol Ring. So I'll be parting out the extras probably here on MTGS and keeping the cool, inexpensive stuff like some of the legends. I'll probably get an alter done on Riku as well.
EDIT: DAMNIT I mispelled Counterpunch. There's no way to change that either.

In all seriousness, I was banking on Tariel being an angel, and the name itself sold me on the deck. I just kinda had a feeling about Devour, so I pre-ordered that one too.
