So, Im thinking about building a Mono White EDH deck, and am def looking at either Akroma, Angel of Wrath, or Eight and a Half Tails, and Im basically starting from the ground up. How are decks with each of these respective Generals built? I am not looking for super competitive, And I am leaning more toward the Fox because I would like to play a more politic like deck with some fun interactions.
In a white deck you'll be playing a lot of Wraths and Removal. I'd play Akroma, Angel of Wrath based on the fact that it has haste and almost always kills the player in 3 hits (with help from some other cards), and it's super annoying to get rid of multiple times. It's not really a very competative general but here in my playgroup where the games end on round 20 - 25. Playing Akroma a couple of times isn't a problem. It all depends on the playgroup i guess ^^,.
in my expierence with mono white edh (8.5 tails), draws can get very clunky. with very little filtering and linear card selection, it can get tough to get your engines/combos running. the land tax/scroll rack engine is really the best mono white has, with emeria, the sky ruin coming in second imo.
honestly, they are both mana intensive, but in different ways. akroma is usually for wrath heavy control builds, but could be the top of your curve in an aggro deck. eight and a half tails could be early beats for aggro or a tool for a control deck. it all really depends on how you want your build to play out. mono white is fairly linear, but quite open ended in those paths it can take (if that makes any sense).
best advice i have for you is play what ever spells you enjoy playing, then see who fits the bill to lead the deck. after some games, see what the deck needs/who is best fit to be the general and make adjustments from there. you will get a lot more mileage out of the deck if you enjoy its contents. once you have decided on the general you can add your tech, like cop white for eight and a half tails and such.
8.5 Tails generally builds as Voltron Aggro, taking advantage of the fact that your general has built-in protection and evasion by throwing a bunch of equipment/auras on him and smashing face. Alternately, he can build janky "combo" with stuff like Circle of Protection: White, Rune of Protection: White, and Story Circle naming white.
Akroma generally builds as your standard Monowhite Control deck. She's an incredibly powerful beater on her own, so you just need to stop yourself from losing long enough to get her going to end the game.
Lapse of certainty you have no idea how many times that card has saved my butt when all the blue players at the table decided to tappout at the same time and someone tries to combo off.
I second Lin-Sivvi, Defiant Hero. She is a very unique general with her flexibility. She can be both aggro or control, however the problem with mono colored edh decks is that you can get boned by someone who is playing Iona, Shield of Emeria. So make sure you can answer her like Duplicant.

Third enthousiast for Lin Sivvi here. Just made my first commander deck with her, will take it out for a first test spin tommorow. Some cool interactions from the deck:

best of luck to you.

In both decks, you're going to want to run as much artifact card advantage as possible, since white lacks a lot of that. Things like Scroll Rack, Tower of Fortunes, Planar Portal, Candles of Leng, Skullclamp, Scroll of Origins, Dreamstone Hedron, Mind's Eye, Illuminated Folio, Well of Lost Dreams, and Journeyer's Kite can help make up for this. Additionally, you're going to want to run a wide variety of mana stones to make up for the fact that white has little natural acceleration.

this is my mono white edh deck. Its based loosely on the old onslaught mono white control.
Outrider en-kor+Task Force+Animal Boneyard is infinite life.
Auratouched Mage+Eldrazi Conscription is a 13/13 trample annihalator 2 for 6 mana.
Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero+Bound in Silence is instant speed untargeted pseudo removal. (Especially good versus Uril!)
Lightbringer or Lawbringer+Distorted Lens is repeated tutorable creature removal.
Cho-Manno, Revolutionary+Pariah or Pariah's Shield makes you near invulnerable. (Also saves you versus infect)
Stonehewer Giant+Argentum Armor is just good.
Special Mention: Endless Horizons to help out with the fact that you have almost no draw.
Some of these combo's can also be used in an Akroma or 8,5 Tails deck.
