Anyone have recommendations for a brand (or just where to find) those clear, tight-fit, inner sleeves? I want maximum protection for my EDH deck and my new Legacy deck.
Trojan should start making card sleeves.

A tier 3 Legacy deck was named after me. What have you done with your life?

You want KMC 'perfect size' sleeves. There might be other brands, but I'm not aware of them. Any decent online stockist will have them. I know for a fact that ABU and CoolStuffInc do.

Just beware that if you use perfect fits on all your cards, your deck will become humongous. You'll also need to compress the deck overnight so that air doesn't get stuck in the inner sleeves.
Its weird, it may be the way i shuffle, but i have the BEST performance with the Ultra Pro Matte sleeves. They feel good when i shuffle and never break on me. Theyre also nice and cheap. 5-6 dollars for 100.
Dragonshield sleeves on the other hand break routinely on me and get all gummy after any amount of heavy play. They also cost 2x as much as other sleeves.
Oddly enough, though, I have a set of really old Ultra Pros where the hologram is still in a corner instead of off to the side. I've had these for about 8 years and whether being used for my first EDH deck or on my DBZ deck before that, I've never had any trouble with them. They are dingy and worn beyond belief but none have split over the years. They have a completely different feel than the new Ultra Pros, which I guess is why I like them still. I guess they don't make them like they used to.

I used to have these Aztec Orange (gold?) Ultra Pros from the metallic series way back when. Those were the BEST sleeves I had ever used in terms of shuffling, handling, and durability. I don't have them anymore (I threw away a bunch of old sleeves a while back), but I sorta regret ever tossing them. They don't make them anymore either - and yes there was a dark phase in Ultra Pro timeline where their sleeves were pretty bad. It was during that time I went to Dragon Shields, but now it seems Ultra Pro has got their stuff back together.

I have about 60 of the sky blue old Ultra Pros. I used to have a deck that had the red old Ultra Pros a few years back.
Both were used 6-8 years each. No rips or anything of that sort, aside from light play marks on the front.
Ultra Pro has definitely decreased in quality over the years, but I like them more than the slim KMC (most of which are too glossy for my taste). I haven't tried Dragonshields. I dislike the graphic MTG Ultra Pro sleeves. they have too much space in them, so cards easily fall out of them. They are hard to shuffle after a few games with them, or one FNM, as well.
I think Japanese Ultra Pros are very similar to the old Ultra Pros that had the symbol in the corner (circle or triangle). I may be wrong, but from what I've seen it seems that way. Have yet to buy them though because I like Ultra Pro Matte Raven Black, along with Orange, the most. They're dirt cheap too.
I double sleeve an EDH once I get a good list going and if I plan on investing in the foils for the deck, too. KMC Perfect Fit sleeves are great with Ultra Pro Raven Blacks. Just stack the cards and push down on them from the top, before first playing, to get the air bubbles out (which happen because I reverse sleeve the perfect sleeves.
Just an update - I bought gold KMC sleeves (gold is my favorite sleeve color) about a month and a half ago for my 1v1 deck. I've played many, many games over the past 1.5 months and about half of my sleeves started to rip at the bottom. I don't consider myself an aggressive shuffler, and it might even just be the nature of my deck since it has so many tutors, but it's annoying that they broke so quickly. They also become kinda sticky after a while, which can be a nuisance as well.
I bought 250 gold ultra pros now and I guess you could say that I still like UP the best out of all sleeves. Even though the KMC gold looked REALLY nice and classy, their durability just isn't good enough.
The only sleeves i like (i haven't tried kmc) is;
Ultra Pro Matte. Some batches split to much, which sucks, but some are just insanely awesome. They are very good and very good for shuffling. Anything else by Ultra Pro is horrible though
Dragon Pro in my opinion is the most sturdy sleeve ever, but they make the cards to bent in my opinion :(.
I want to get some Dragon Shield sleeves, but right now I have some Ultra-Pros. I've been hearing that Ultra-Pro is terrible, but I bought my sleeves at the Rise prerelease and I haven't split one yet. Maybe it's just this kind, but they're really nice.
I use both UltraPro and Dragonshield sleeves on my EDH decks, and have yet to really find problems with either brand, though I prefer DS. I have a set of pink DS sleeves that I've been using since I built my first EDH deck (about a year and a half ago), and I've yet to have even 1 sleeve break or split at all, though I do find myself going through to clean them off every now and then.
I'm not sure I've ever seen KMCs at any of the LGSs around here, but if I ever find a pack I'll have to give them a try, as it seems like a lot of people have good luck with them. But that's only if I ever find myself either breaking sleeves or building yet another deck... but I think 7 is enough for now. ^-^
I've sworn by KMC Hyper Mats for a couple years now. Neither KMC nor Dragon Shields will split, for the most part. I find that Dragon Shield sleeves dog-ear quicker than KMC. I double sleeve with KMC Perfect Size and KMC Hyper Mat, slot down on the Perfect Size and slot up on the Hyper Mats.
I've been using KMC Hyper Mats for the last year or two and I like them a lot. I think they last a lot longer and they don't get as dirty as Dragon Shields.
I'm still annoyed that Dragon Shields product changed so much after they changed ownership. The old version Dragon Shields I have from 10 years ago are still awesome and maybe 1 or 2 have broken in all that time. The new ones are not nearly as nice.

+1 for Dragon Shields. They are excellent and worth every penny. Very durable, but they do get dirty. I just take the time to actually wipe down every card front and back to clean, then they are good to go. Only need it like once every 1-2 years.
-1 for standard Ultra Pros. Had to buy an extra pack because they keep tearing like crazy. Also the corners bend and make it hard to shuffle. The Pro Matte seem to be better quality, but I have not put them through the paces like my Dragon shields so I cannot comment on long term durability.
I'm currently on Dragon Shields. I have around 3200 cards sleeved in those right now and haven't had any problems with them, aside from occasional, slight differences in coloration and cut. I haven't had any issues with that in terms of marked cards for casual games or local tournaments, but I would make sure that all of the sleeves were coming out of the same box if you were going to use them at a larger event.
I used Ultra Pros for several years before I switched and never had an issue with them. I've seen a lot of complaints about splitting sleeves, which I never had happen. I've noticed some of the oldest ones are falling apart now (I use them for tokens), but that's after several years of no use and questionable storage.

it's been great so far, i have not yet cleaned my sleeves since 2013.
My Teysa deck is double sleeved in Dragon shields. Dragon shields definitely dog ear more quickly but it's delayed if you double sleeve.
My others are still in old Ultra Pros. Once a sleeve splits on either deck I'll move over to Dragon Shields.
I like KMC Hyper Mats for 60-card decks but they can be a little slippery for a 99 card deck imo.
