I am playing emrakul in every edh deck i have now. Since ROE, in group games, i have not failed to get one out once. It is destructive, gamebreaking. My playgroup has (out of necessity) completely changed the decks they play with. Rather than simply winning, they now all have a way to steal it, bribery it out, o-ring it. It mays previously non-viable decks, possess an uncounterable win condition. Games have simply broken down to 4 pimps 1 ho, where we all just pass around one gys emrakul for 40 minutes. It is only a matter of time till everyone else's edh groups degrade into this kind of debauchery.
On the contrary: our playgroup plays FAR too many Wrath of God effects for Emrakul to warp the environment like that. Granted, every time I've cast Emrakul in EDH (3 times), I've won, but then again it was more of a combo kill with Mind's Desire or Time Stretch than anything. If I play it "fair," even if I Annihilate the guy playing white, then our Kiku, Night's Flower player will use his general or one of his millions of Edicts to get rid of it.
It's excellent and extremely powerful, of course. But debauchery? Nah.
He can't be countered and has pro all colors with annihilator 6 and can be put into play pretty easily via mana accelerating or card effect. If your deck has a way to give him haste someone is guaranteed to lose that turn but even without the haste someone is going to be hanging by a thread after just one attack. 6 permanents gone is hard to comeback from if all of your permanents were mana accel or lands.
If you want to ban powerful cards, why not Islands? They have been proven to be fairly unfair in most cases.
The worst turn 1 play you can face down is Draw, play basic Island and say, "go"
Wrong, he has protection from Colored Spells. Pro (All Colors) would make him much harder to deal with, as then you couldn't even target him with an Oblivion Ring.

Where the hell is Emrakul mentioned in a Shards of Alara article?
And, if anything, it would be proper English to refer to the Eldrazi and Drones as He (the Gender-Neutral English word). Hell, the Flavor Text even points in this direction; read some of the cards that make Eldrazi Drones.
I posted this in another forum and it did not get much response so i guess i will post it here.
I personally think Emrakul should get banned. I believe he should be banned for the same purpose as Kokusho is banned for. Whenever a deck or decks run him in a game he immediately becomes the center of the game. Everyone wants control of him. People go out of their way just to get him into play, and he is honestly starting to take the fun out of a lot of the games i have been playing recently. He takes away any variety our games once had. Yesterday i played four games and Emrakul was personally responsible of ending all four of those games. Sure he costs 15 mana and when you pay that much for a spell it should be game warping, but when you play him for 5 mana off of a Fist of Suns, off of 8 lands with a mana doubler on the field or even through a bribery or tooth and nail it gets ridiculous.

Basically because in that article there are 2 gods and one goddess in two different cultures that turn about to really be based on the legendary eldrazi. The goddess is the one that corresponds to Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

I know that much, but we don't actually know if the Eldrazi have a cannon gender or not. Unless it's in a WotC article, it's hardly proper to refer to any of the Eldrazi as female (the gods that natives of Zendikar worship can be refered to by gender, but the actual Eldrazi that those deity's names were derived from should be refered to with either their proper name or the appropriate gender-neutral term).
He's auto-include in any mono-black deck that run Cabal Coffer, any green deck that use channel or any deck in general that use any kind of broken mana producer (Mana Reflection, Mirari's Wake, Mana Flare...).Sure he cost a lot but there's plenty of way to cast him in EDH.

I think she's a girl by the way, they kind of implied that in this article.

But yeah, she is broken with channel. But then so is Gelatinous Genesis.
One thing I hate, though, is everyone forgets the main way to kill this thing. It isn't Oblivion Ring. It's Duplicant. Any creature that kills other creatures with an activated ability or comes-into the battlefield ablility works just fine. Just don't play it unless you have an out for it in your deck. Because bribery is a *****. I learned that the hard way :(.

EDIT: OOps: I meant to link to "Gods and Monsters" http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/stf/82 This article delineates the gods of the merfolk and kor actually being based on the world crushing eldrazi far in the plast.
