I love pauper, and I want to build a full on pauper arsenal. I want to build a total of 30-40 pauper decks. I want them to all be unique, as much as possible. I'm sure a few cards will bleed into other decks, but I don't want Red Goblins and R/B Goblins or two goblin decks with just different choices. I want as big of a variety as pauper can muster.
I want at least three decks of each monocolor, more when there's some good design room. I also want a minimum of one deck for each two-color combination, perhaps even two. I'm also considering tricolor across the wheel, although I'm not positive as to how unique each of those would be.
I'd like some input/feedback as to all the possible designs and aspects that could have decent pauper decks built around them. I'm not looking for card critique on any of the decks, just a general "you should build X for this" etc. You may of course give a sample decklist for any suggestions, or even a "make sure you run X in Y".

So.. My question to the community at large: What else should I build? If you were doing this, what all would you want to build?
So do you want that many decks to just have options when you play a Pauper game or is this for your playgroup to use?
So far you have a solid start with your choices. For variation I'd add an U/R Eye Candy deck to the list (Kiln Fiend/Nivix Cyclops). You can also go with an MBC list, and you choose the newer Devotion builds or go with a Pre-Theros list.
Are you wanting some rogue decks in the list or are you only interested in more established lists? I have a few unconventional brews of my own that are pretty good if you're interested in something different.
It's for a playgroup.
Generally, it's hey lets both grab a random deck and play.
My "Delver" build is a form of the eye candy.
It's kind of a hybrid, but just the way I like.
I'll update to Delver/Eye Candy on the list.
Added MBC / Devotion! Thanks!
I'm perfectly fine with rogue.
Actually, I personally tend to play rogue, but I'm for everything here.
As long as it holds its own against the other decks, it'll work.
So please, by all means, give me your unconventional.
Here's a Mono Black deck I use. It sacs creatures that trigger effects on dying and keeps bringing them into play. I recently added Nameless Inversion and Ghoulraiser for extra synergy. You are already at 3 Mono Black decks, so it's understandable if you don't use it.
There's also a thread that was posted by Obermeir for a Boros Aggro deck. I posted a version of my own in that thread too. It can be found here.
I would also make the Infect deck into a G/B or G/U list then you can have a spot for a Mono Green Elves deck to get some more Tribal action in the mix.
Doing this myself, I'd probably build everything that was competitive (can fight against tier 1 decks) and then experiment with color combinations and powerful cards without homes (Blightning comes to mind) from there. I presume from your inclusion of Tron and exclusion of 8-Post, you follow the MTGO banlist?
Darkninja107
I like the deck posted. I'll probably turn it a little more zombie oriented, but a nice little shell there. The boros is nice. I probably will take the 2 color creature approach to a whole cycle. For infect, I haven't actually decided between GB and Mono Green. I'm fine with having even 6 monogreen decks if it comes to it. I just want to make sure each color has a strong presence, and a minimum of 3 should suffice.

Thank you!
I will definitely use quite a few of those.
Several of them are things I really should have already had down.
I love some of the random rogue decks.
Just One Land is awesome.
That's a very interesting idea for you and your friends! I like it a lot. I would personally pick the most powerful decks first, then fill the rest with tier 2 and 3 decks.
Here's the list of decks I would build, including all the top decks, my successful brews and other peoples' creations that they have enjoyed as well.

That's 33 decks. I'll admit there are quite a few green decks, and maybe a bit too much UG. Beasts and Thresh could be cut. Some of these decks can't be played online, like High Tide. Flash is also barely playable, but extremely fun.
In GW you also have Midnight Guard/Presence of Gond decks that also blur with GW Soul Sisters. I've also seen a really solid RG Slivers deck that I think it more fun than GW Slivers. There's also a RWU Delver deck that I've seen people play (but Infraction Jackson's thread here disappeared in the site move )

Interesting... I couldn't find it going through the normal methods. Good to see it's back
Guard/Presence is actually a really tough to beat deck in the right game. You run 12 Sisters, a bunch of token makers and you either combo with Guard or you just take 12 damage a turn while you amass a large enough token army to go lethal. I thought it'd be *****ty because 2 card combos are bad when there are so many easy ways to rip it apart, but the Sprout Swarm beat down gets there too.
Also, TPPS: With Empty the Warrens banned, is it grapeshot for the win?
Thanks!
The wall combo is Axebane Guardian + Galvanic Alchemist/ Freed from the Real + right number of defenders +Soul Burn. The deck is surprisingly redundant, considering all the pieces are fetchable with Drift of Phantasms, which also happens to be a defender creature. The deck is also surprisingly resilient to aggro and kills quicker than you expect.
Here's a list I screw around with (it's far from a polished list):
For your other Wall deck, don't forget about the infamous Inviolability.
The TPPS I play against uses both Empty the Warrens and Grapeshot, actually. Our playgroup doesn't have a problem with Storm because it's not abused to the point of it being boring, so we allow it.
Sorry to hijack your thread @Feyd_Ruin but I'm really glad you started it. I've been looking to the lists provided so far to find good CHEAP pauper decks I could build for a play group as well and was wondering if anybody has any ideas? I'm basically trying to avoid cards like Oubliette (which is 0.20$ on MTGO and 8$ in paper), Daze and all those 'expensive' commons. The reason for this is that my play group is very 'unstable' and I'm trying to get them more involved with the game without them having to spend any money which means me buying cards. I thought I could build 4-5 pauper decks we could pass around (there are 4 of us) and play with but I don't really want to spend 35-60$ per deck. I've been going down the list here and found a few cheap options but if somebody could help me out finding a "rock paper scissor" situation where the 4 decks work well against each other that'd be really awesome. Thanks!

You don't really miss out on anything by not playing those $3+ cards. You could easily build monoblack control without Oubliettes or delver blue without Dazes, especially because those decks are already the best in the format. I'd probably start with white weenie, tron, mbc, delver, goblins, and affinity. If you're primarily concerned with a balanced metagame between the decks, just build what you think would be the most fun, (with a good mix of aggro/midrange/control/combo/etc) then tweak them until they're balanced.
I can't imagine a Pauper deck shelling out 60$ unless you're using Sinkholes. As far as I know, the only reason people are using Oubliette in MTGO is because it's bugged and the creature never comes back or something. There are many other choices in Black, so it's very far from necessary.
Even with a playset of Daze, you won't exceed 30$ in paper for a Delver deck.
If you look at the colour scheme I used with my list of decks, it shows the tier that I consider each deck to be on (green=1, orange= 2, red= 3). Bear in mind this is just my own opinion, but if it helps, good! Of course, you'll quickly realize if there is a problem with one or two of the decks you built not being balanced compared to the others. That's up to you to figure out and correct.
You can probably get away with getting five decks for 75$, which is pretty damn good. Most of the decks I built didn't cost me over 10$.
You can definitely build pauper decks for < $10 each.
Hitting up your LGS's common bin is the best place to start.
Even if your LGS doesn't have one, you can get good decks decently cheap, so long as you go for the right ones. It really depends on what you want to play. If you want 4-5 decks, I recommend going with one monocolor of each color. Each color has strong potential without going spend-heavy. Stick with basic concepts, like aggro and aggro-control, and they'll match out well.
If I had to pick these from my random lists, I'd go for these:
White: Soldier Weenie. ($5)
Blue: Ninja Draw. ($5)
Black: Small Beats ($5)
Red: Goblins ($7)
Green: Big Beats $8)
Now, I'm not suggesting these specific lists - they aren't even finalized for myself yet. They just make good examples. TCGPlayer would make it $50 with the shipping, but that's because you're buying a lot of cards from like 7+ different places. If you bought them all from one place, you could easily cut it to less then 40. For all 5 decks. A little reworking would make them very balanced with each other for a good 5 deck Rock Paper Scissors Lizard Spock.
Really, it depends on what you're wanting to do. If you want to build 5 tournament winners, yeah, you'll have to fork out some $. If you're wanting 5 good decks that are competition worthy and play well together, you can get all 5 for one Delver deck.

@ OP topic: I'm working through and coming up with cardlists for the decks I want. I'll update OP with where I'm at after I finish most of them and cut out the decks that are too similar.
Of overall note, I'm wanting to avoid any kind of complicated combo. While they are fun, it's not easy to just pick up the deck randomly and play it. High Tide may end up making the list, but One Land won't. It looks fun, but someone just picking it up and glancing through won't have a clue on how to play it. TPPS I'm skipping since all three big pauper storm cards are on the official ban list.
All that said, I may end up cutting a few, so there's probably still some room.
Good list! I would totally take the time to discuss each deck one at a time, but I suppose a separate thread should be made for each, or put each into the proper category. This is such a big project, it would be easy to get lost in it.
Green Tron and Big Green beats seem too similar to me. They essentially have the same strategy, but different ways to ramp and different fatties, but same idea.
I can tell you now that I think most other decks might have problems versus the 9landish green deck, Goblins and Elves, as they look a bit more powerful than the others.
I don't really see how you'll make a 5c control deck in Pauper.
There are merits to both versions of the Flash deck, but mixing them might be needlessly hard on the mana base.
I want to see a 5c Control deck for Peasant, and have been digging around online for a while now. Here's an old Pauper list: http://deckbox.org/sets/98375 That list is centered around Teachings and stuff with Flash (Havenwood Wurm).
I want at least three decks of each monocolor, more when there's some good design room. I also want a minimum of one deck for each two-color combination, perhaps even two. I'm also considering tricolor across the wheel, although I'm not positive as to how unique each of those would be.

I have 13 that I'm still building the lists for.
I'm also looking to work on these:
Of overall note, I'm wanting to avoid any kind of complicated combo. While they are fun, it's not easy to just pick up the deck randomly and play it. High Tide may end up making the list, but One Land won't. It looks fun, but someone just picking it up and glancing through won't have a clue on how to play it. TPPS I'm skipping since all three big pauper storm cards are on the official ban list.
All that said, I may end up cutting a few, so there's probably still some room.

You have the right idea for the Sacrifice deck!

You're going to want Nylea's Presence and Tribal Flames in there somewhere, I think. Seems somewhat deathly slow!
Make a new thread about it and we can all work on it without disturbing this thread too much!
