Aetherworks Marvel is now cheap for fun uses. I want to include it in an artifact based deck that isn't some clone of a bad (in multiplayer) standard deck. I thought using 'Eggs' to gain energy to activate it would be effective. Scrap mastery furthers this plan (especially if you have another marvel in the graveyard). What was left was a way to win. I could do something like combustible gearhulk, inkwell leviathan, etc. but want something a bit different.
It's a bit rough so far and I'm definitely not too attached to it. I do like the idea of using eggs with marvel though but wanted to avoid building a 20+ minute turn deck. Thoughts?
I think it's a pretty neat idea, but with mill-to-GY as your win condition I'd worry about one of my opponents having something like Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre in their deck. Then what would you do?
Good points. I've been gold-fishing a bit and realize that this isn't the deck for marvel as much as I would like it to be. Marvel would work in an egg deck with second sunrise, open the vaults, and faith's reward, but that isn't what I am looking for here (no one would play against that boring monstrosity).
I like the suggestion of pia's revolution and will build around that instead. In order to make it effective though, I think I need to include other cards that make opponent's life totals relevant otherwise they can just take the 3 and shut down the combo. I was thinking disciple of the vault, and reckless fireweaver. I just saw the firebrand archer discussion as well which would work for this strategy.
I'm thinking something like this:
Personally, I dislike "all-in" combo decks like these. All it takes is a little disruption and your game plan is shot. Cards like Paradoxical Outcome and Pia's Revolution certainly make the deck more resilient, but I think it's also important to include some creature kill, like Anger of the Gods. Earthquake might help and pressure your opponents' life totals to make Pia's Revolution a real threat. Crush of Tentacles could also be a means of defense that also provides an alternate win condition with the Octopus it creates.

Enter the stations. Originally you needed all four Blasting, Grinding, Salvaging, Summoning in order to go infinite (damage and mill). Flayer husk goes infinite (mill) with just Grinding and Salvaging.
Here's what I am thinking so far.
3 Flayer Husk
3 Grinding Station
2 Salvaging Station
Dig
4 Aetherworks Marvel
4 Shadowblood Egg
4 Darkwater Egg
4 Frantic Search
4 Daretti, Scrap Savant
4 Scrap Mastery
Defense
4 Baleful Strix
// 24 Land
3 Bloodstained Mire
3 Polluted Delta
4 Sulfur Falls
1 Watery Grave
4 Steam Vents
1 Blood Crypt
2 Island
2 Mountain
1 Swamp
1 Dragonskull Summit
2 Drowned Catacomb

Aside from that, you may as well put in some valuable cards for Marvel to hit like, Kozilek, the Great Distortion or Sire of Insanity.
