So how are other people building around As Foretold? The card is harder to break that it seems. Cards like Timecrafting, Paradox Haze and Leyline of Anticipation don't seem to work because then your deck doesn't actually do anything. It's kinda hard to find something that always plays Magic without being a do-nothing durdly pile of nonsense. I'm wondering what sorts of things people have come up with to make the card work.
8 Moxen and plenty of draw and tutor to push for a turn 1-2 As Foretold, then hopefully string free card draw into your 8 Balances. With almost every land able to sacrifice you strand everyone with no creatures, 0-1 lands, and no hand until you eventually kill them with Luminarch Ascension. This kind of list is definitely capable of horribly broken games but I doubt it's very consistent, and I imagine it's vulnerable to people simply top-decking enough mana + answers and threats to lose even after setting up and Balance-nuking. Kind of just a flashier but worse Limited Resources deck.

Uh, I'm not sure that I follow. Assuming that you have no budget restrictions and no restricted list you could go hog with with a land-light deck that has 4x Sol Ring, 4x Mox Opal, 4x Chrome Mox, etc. that just dumps its entire hand into play, casts one of 8 Balances and wins. Why wouldn't that be both incredibly consistent and oppressive? So what if people draw mana and threats? Your manabase isn't touched, you're always drawing into more Balances and you have access to oppressive Blue cantrip/draw spells to dig into action when you need it. Even if the Balance effects sometimes force you to pitch cards, who cares? What do you need to spend your mana on other than Luminarch Ascension tokens, Balances or dig/draw spells to find either of those?
A control shell seems like the best place to take advantage of the fact that you get a free cast off of As Foretold on each of your opponent's turns. Along those lines, I had been thinking about something UG with Rashmi, Eternities Crafter to squeeze even more value out of those free casts each turn and maybe to fuel buyback costs for Forbid. Prophet of Kruphix seemed like a good card to include as a "backup" As Foretold and as a way of making creatures castable during opponents' turns. I'm not sure how the deck would win games--maybe with something generic like sticking a Mind's Dilation?
I gave up on the idea when I saw that a set of 4 As Foretolds currently costs $50. But maybe this line of thinking could give you a few ideas?
