He really want's to use those, he doesn't take advice that he shouldn't build around terrible cards. But I want him to have a good deck, it's not fun if he looses all the time.
Any ideas how to turn recurring mediocre creatures from your graveyard to the battlefield into a winning move? I feel like these cards are inherently flawed by their card disadvantage which is even worse in multiplayer.
He could add Prized Amalgam, Stinkweed Imp etc to build a somewhat bad dredge package. I am not convinced dredge is a viable strategy in multiplayer.
Or he could play a Sanitarium SkeletonDrownyard Temple package or Madness cards to discard cards that don't hurt that much, but that sounds like an unreasonable mana investment.
Wasn't aware of Veilborn Ghoul and Krovikan Horror. Never playing but always discarding theses seems like a great way to mitigate the discard 2 drawback without investing mana.
Thanks a lot, this was exactly what I was looking for. Now I can work out the details myself.
I know there's a whole different thread on this subject, but this seems like a great shell to run 2x Faith of the Devoted. You'll be discarding a ton of cards and this gives you some extra reach for the end game in case creature beats alone won't cut it.

A buddy of mine pulled a few Shadows zombies and now has the idea to build around Advanced StitchwingGeralf's Masterpiece Diregraf Colossus and Ghoulsteed.

The new cards like Dread Wanderer and Lord of the Accursed might also be of interest. Maybe we can make Ghirapur Orrery work?
Any ideas?
10x Swamp
4x Watery Grave
4x Polluted Delta
4x Tainted Isle
Creatures (26)
4x Diregraf Colossus
4x Prized Amalgam
4x Stinkweed Imp
2x Krovikan Horror
4x Advanced Stitchwing
2x Ghoulsteed
2x Geralf's Masterpiece
4x Veilborn Ghoul
4x Breakthrough
4x Careful Study
2x Necromancer's Stockpile
2x Buried Alive
So something like this then? It seems like a no-brainer to me that we'll want to build around things like Krovikan Horror and Veilborn Ghoul while fueling our graveyard with things like Careful Study, Breakthrough, Read the Runes, etc.

Squee and Gravecrawler would definitely be ideal, especially since Gravecrawler is "cast" from your GY which triggers Diregraf Colossus.
