Since I saw the Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons card spoiled I have been trying to wrap my head around a deck that would work with it in multiplayer. Here is a semi finished version of what I think it could look like. Looking for any suggestions...still need to throw in some life gain if I take Everlasting Torment out and card draw.
No no no no no no no no no no! Screw Hapatara! She's garbage. Haven't you seen Nest of Scarabs? Do the math on chaining one of those into a Black Sun's Zenith. How many tokens are you putting into play? 20? More?
Also, the deck should be Red. Why? Soul-Scar Mage is our Everlasting Torments 5-8 to ensure that we can always convert burn such as Blasphemous Act into a ton of counters for either Necroskitter or Nest of Scarabs. By the way, have you done the math on casting a Withered B.Act when there's a Nest of Scarabs in play? Do you know how many tokens that is? Billions? Ha! Try MILLIONS!
FWIW the first card that I'm going to test is 4x Dusk Urchins for card draw. Might not be optimal but it's definitely the first list that I'm going to jam.
I think Soul-Scar Mage likes Global effects that deal 2, like EarthquakeX=2, because he actually survives those.
Or 3 if it's a spell, thanks to Prowess. Bring on the Anger of the Gods
I already included prowess.
But thinking about it, Pestilence might also be good since you get to spend one black mana every opponents turn to shrink all enemy creatures. Let's you get away with playing creatures yourself.
I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss this build. Prid3's deck is very brutal in any meta not playing a ton of mass removal. Heck, with B. Act and Nest you easily create enough 1/1's to take out two players by turn four, whereas Hapatra only creates one 1/1 regardless of however many counters are placed on the creature. It should also be said that cards like Nest and Everlasting Torment are enchantments which are usually much more resilient than creatures and don't much hate until it's too late because they look completely innocuous.
Yea your black red deck looks evil. I may go that route eventually. Gotta try the black green tho just cause I have all the cards. The one thing I like about mine is the staying power where my guys can't get counters. Anytime you put a -1/-1 counter on a creature your wiping your own board. You are always putting new guys out yes but still wiping the board.

Assuming that you A) draw Melira and B) have her stick despite the fact that your adversaries have a big incentive to kill her off to force you to nuke your own mana dorks and/or other critters (Blowfly Infestation isn't a may).
Wot, no Flourishing Defenses? Flourishing/Blowfly Infestation decklists have been around for a long, long time. That's my starting point for a Golgari build.

Here's the newer version I plan on playing when The Scorpion God comes out. I do have a question though, would I end up decking myself If I cast a Blasphemous Act with 10 creatures on the board?
It's one card per creature, not per -1/-1 counter, so I think you'd be fine.
I think Blowfly Infestation should not be neglected here. Infestation + Hapatra/Nest + any dies trigger like Zulaport Cutthroat allows you to chain dying snakes/scarabs into each other infinitely for the win.

My thought with the the scorpion god was if I had a bunch of tokens and killed em, say 10 creatures take -13/-13 thats 130 1/1 tokens I would deck myself if i wiped the board again...
I pulled green out of the deck, but when i did play with it, it was super strong. Only problem is my playgroup doesn't allow infinite. So we skirt as close to the line as possible and this unfortunately would be considered infinite.
Melira, Sylvok Outcast protects my creatures, Harbinger of Night and Soul Snuffers put counters on all creatures and Necroskitter steals said creatures. And of course Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons giving me death touch snakes to kill anything that doesn't die to -1/-1 counters.
4x birds of paradise
2x Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons
4x Harbinger of Night
4x Melira, Sylvok Outcast
4x Necroskitter
4x Soul Snuffers
4x Urborg Elf
4x Golgari Signet
1x Sol Ring
4x Black Sun's Zenith
10x Forest
4x Golgari Rot Farm
10x Swamp
4x Everlasting Torment

Here's what I'm playing Day 1 of Amonkhet:
6x Mountain
6x Swamp
4x Forbidden Orchard
4x Akoum Refuge
4x Dragonskull Summit
4x Soul-Scar Mage
4x Humble Defector
4x Necroskitter
Spells (20)
4x Black Sun's Zenith
4x Nest of Scarabs
4x Everlasting Torment
4x Chain Reaction
4x Blasphemous Act
With the last 4 cards being test slots for various nonsense. Earthquake, Varchild's War-Riders, Shadows of the Past, Zulaport Cutthroat, Cut, Impact Tremors, Throne of the God-Pharaoh, Blowfly Infestation, Dusk Urchins, Syphon Mind, Purphoros, God of the Forge I'm going to try a ton of cards in the last few slots. I'm not saying that the deck is perfect or anything but this is the exact list that I'm going to jam until I can tweak it into something that works.

Don't listen to the Spike who advices you to drop the card you fell in love with...!
Unless it's not the card but the win that counts, of course.
My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.

I fully support Pestilence.
