Yes, this is my favorite card. I've played a Commander deck with it since release. When it was printed twice in one year, I finally bought 3x more and now have a 60-card full of the same fun.
The idea to this deck is three-fold. First, recycle control elements and creatures with Sharuum the Hegemon, the Sanctum Gargoyles, and Academy Ruins. Second, use the control elements to take out anything except for lands. Lastly, use Sphinx Summoner and Master Transmuter to accelerate and perpetuate the control and recycling indefinitely by flickering the Gargoyles, Summoners, and artifacts in and out using the Transmuters. Particularly devastating to my group is when I flick the Scourglass into play during the upkeep and pop it before anyone can respond. It's not a combo deck that instantly wins, but it is a heavily synergized deck that is fun to play.
