Hi all,
I recently got a relative of mine involved in our weekly magic game. Needles to say he is all about Magic now, which is great. The only problem is, he wanted to play with a few cards he found while we were browsing at the local store. These cards are Jugan, The Rising Star, Elderscale Wurm and Bow of Nylea. I put a deck list together for him, but it seems to be missing something to put it over the edge and get him some wins. Does anybody have suggestions that could help, or maybe lists created around either of those two cards?
Stampede decks generally want to avoid mana dorks whenever possible. I would personally play things like Wild Growth and Nature's Lore over Elvish Mystic et al. in order to avoid cheating those into play. Obviously this makes things like Regal Force weaker but you have to balance what synergies you want to build around and why.
4x Green Sun's Zenith makes any Green deck strictly better. If you don't want to add them that's fine too but it's always worth highlighting this fact because this deck would be objectively more powerful, consistent and versatile if it had them.
FWIW the more that I play with Regal Behemoth the more that I like it. Glad to see it in there.
I do actually play Bow of Nylea in a Green deck but it's too complicated. The deck is built around Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder. The trick is to either power him out or cheat him out with Green Sun's Zenith/Eldritch Evolution/etc. and then when you hit with him all of your 1 drop dorks gain Cascade. The only 0 drop in the deck is Ancestral Vision which draws 3 cards at which point you can use Bow of Nylea to put it back in your deck. BUT THERE'S MORE! Since bow puts up to 4 cards back and since Ancestral Vision draws 3 cards you actually get to stack your draws since you know that you'll Cascade into the Vision on the bottom and you know that you'll then draw the 3 cards that you stacked under it. As such you're drawing 4 cards per turn and you get to (more-or-less) choose 3 of them. Super complicated, I know, but it's Hella fun.

2x Dramatic Entrance
4x Selvala's Stampede
Artifact
2x Bow of Nylea
Creature
1x Courser of Kruphix
1x Desolation Twin
1x Elderscale Wurm
4x Elvish Mystic
4x Elvish Visionary
2x Greenwarden of Murasa
2x Jugan, the Rising Star
1x Polukranos, World Eater
2x Reclamation Sage
1x Regal Behemoth
1x Regal Force
4x Sakura-Tribe Elder
1x Surrak, the Hunt Caller
1x Sylvan Primordial
1x Void Winnower
1x Woodland Bellower
22x Forest
2x Rogue's Passage
I'll always play Lure of Prey over Dramatic Entrance. It's not "strictly better" but it's pretty damn close.

Desolation Twin is awful because it's bad to cheat into with Selvala's Stampede and it doesn't work with Dramatic Entrance. I would cut it for a big Green fatty like Ulvenwald Hydra, Realm Seekers, Hornet Queen, Terastodon, Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger, Progenitus, Worldspine Wurm, etc.
