Hey, been a while since I've build anything particularly spell-focused and wondered to myself is a deck centered around Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge any decent? Using it to cast spells like Dark Intimations is obviously great, but can it consistently get to the point where it can slam out those powerful spells very often, ideally with a decent backup plan?

Maybe something close to this, give or take an Insurrection? I dunno, Jeleva + Oblivion Sower feels like such a no-brainer combo since it enables you to cast your expensive spells even when you fail to cheat them out for free. I'm assuming everyone is on the same page about the fact that Jeleva's ETB exile makes Oblivion Sower especially bonkers because all you do is target someone who's already exiled a couple of lands and suddenly you could be cheating an extra ~4 into play. That's straight-up Expropriate or Army of the Damned or Clone Legion or whatever mana.
Seems like a waste of deckslots. I'd rather field Generator Servant for the turn 2 Servant, turn 3 Imitations recurring Servant to "Dark Ritual" another spell and/or Jeleva down the road. Also Flamekin Village et al. also provide haste without costing you a card. I understand that it's not the be-all-end-all solution by any means but I'd rather take the tempo loss in order to avoid playing very situational equipment.
Mauler is almost strictly worse than Generator Servant IMO since turn 2 Servant turn 3 Jeleva is fine BUT Servant can also curve into a turn 3 Dark Intimations which then recurs the Servant so that you can use it as a ritual spell for your expensive finishers and/or Jeleva.
LTP is basically strictly worse than Lim-Dul's Vault in practice.
Huh, I actually really like the idea of building that into a Sakashima's Student deck. I'm stealing that idea. And no, I'm not just saying that because I want to bounce Oblivion Sowers for more value. Ok, well, maybe I am.
I'm guessing Jeleva would have to be supported by lots of bombs in your own deck like Decree of Pain, Necromantic Selection, Plague Wind etc.
Ogre Battledriver beckons.
Though that card tends to warp your deck so maybe a more harmless Haste option is better.
Repeatable bounce or reanimate is useful too.
(Never played Jeleva myself so I'm just stating the obvious.)
My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.

I agree.
I like Anger usually, but maybe Battle Rampart (Ram the manparts!) or Lightning Mauler?
I like Long-term Plans, could help Jeleva a bit.
Burning Wish probably isn't necessary, but it's an option too.
Anger would be better in a combo version of the deck full of Rituals, Wheels, good recursion, etc. but mostly Wheels.
