MTG Salvation

This deck is supposed to be a fun/silly deck that can actually get some wins outta nowhere. The combo is big butt non-defenders like Yoked Ox and Tasseled Dromedary and swinging in with Assault Formation active.



Edit: Adjusting the curve to be a little more balanced but still super fun with the addition of Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa He seems super sweet in this deck.

Sterling Grove is fantastic if you can afford it. It's significantly more reliable than your cantrips. You also might want to consider ways to make this a Muraganda Petroglyphs deck. Cards seems like it would be sweet in this style of brew.

If I did go the Petroglyphs route I'd have to go Bant cause they have Kraken Hatchling But the more I think about Petroglyphs, if I am running white I might as well run Dictate of Heliod as even though it is one more mana, it has flash and boosts creatures with abilities

Have you considered Wall of Omens or Wall of Blossoms for their draw?

Fair point.

If you do go with blue, wall of Denial might be an option - I know you're aiming for non-defenders.....

Manabase could need a manland in case of mass removal, like, maybe Forbidding Watchtower? Speaking of Mass Removal, Wave of Reckoning seems like an option.

Not sure if you want equipment but Slagwurm Armor is awesome in doran-decks. Should work prety nice here aswell.

I like the idea of Fell the Mighty! I'll try to run one or two.

Would Veteran Bodyguard type cards fit?

A few updates. I'm going to try Mentor of the Meek and see how two copies works out

I like the idea of Rhox Faithmender but I don't have any right now. Added Sidar Kondo to the deck!

Adding in Belligerent Brontodon cause I need more effects that are Assault Formation. Took out two Vessels for it as I wasn't sure what to cut. Thoughts? Is 7 just way too much for this deck to ever pull off?

Not really. I highly recommend adding Krosan Verge if you decide to bump up the curve because that card is bonkers. Selesnya Sanctuary could work too.

I just read through the list, and this is the funniest deck I've seen in some time. I love the +0/+5 "defensive" instant that will pump your hordes like Beastmaster Ascension. Love this deck, great idea.

I could imagine Silklash Spider x4 in there.

How do 4x Township work out? I never tried more than two.

I wonder if more Watchtowers would be good.

Apart from that, still looks like a fun deck!

I haven't had any real trouble (so far) with 4 townships as it usually can win me the game by making my Oxen into 4/8 monstrosities. I think I may go down one for a watchtower though as having a man land is a good idea. The spider definitely seems good but what to cut? I guess two trailblazers maybe for two spiders?

Maybe drop the four Communes, up the Benefactions to four, drop four of the one drops, up the Mentors to four and throw in four Spiders?
