Hey everyone. So it sounds like playing with goats is a lot of fun. How about a few decklists. I am not sold whether it's better to still have a deck that plays magic even without generating goats, or if its better to just go with a more aggressive approach.
If you're gonna go goat, go full goat. Goats are red.
I'd go Mono-R or R/W and load up on goat equipment if I was gonna goat.
Goat all the Mountain-walk goats (there's 12 of them) and stick a Blood Goat.
Then equip something nasty to said goat.
Almost all my friends use non-basics in some measure, so Moon is usually a safe bet.
There's a lot of other Mountain-walk non-goats or ways to abuse Blood Moon that could work here.

So you want him to spend $180.00 USD so that he can lose games by playing 1/1s for 1 in a multiplayer setting?
$180 is a little steep for a goat deck, lol. Jazal Goldmane looks pretty good, might be a card to consinder. The reason I like Mirror Entity in this deck is because it can be fetched by Kithkin Harbinger along with the other key cards. I may cut one Galepowder Mage for a Grand Abolisher because there are so many rampant Fog effects in my meta. Is 6 buffer spells enough? I don't want to make a bunch of goat tokens and have them just sit there. I guess there are a lot of other alternatives to not drawing a pump spell: life gain (Soul WardenSoul's Attendant), shenanigans (Mirrorweave), defense (Worship).

Whoa. I didn't realise Moon had gotten so exy. When I got mine they were like a $5 card.
Pseudo-unblockable with equipment isn't that bad. A friend of mine still runs his islandwalk deck c/o Spreading Sea's etc and wins games.
It will depend on what equipment you may have at your disposal.
This list excludes the most powerful of goats in Pathbreaker Ibex.
Ibex is a card I've played against. It's worth consideration, especially if you're considering using pump. I've seen it used alongside Overwhelming Stampede for some massive swings.
But really, to our OP;
Is this deck wanting to be Goat? Or just a decent white deck?
Evangel of Heliod looks pretty sweet and another good blink target. I can try and test Cathars' Crusade and see what plays out. My meta plays a lot of big dumb creatures like Eldrazi and such, so having 10 copies of them all hit seems pretty sweet and lolzy. Insead of Marshal's Anthem how about something like Dictate of Heliod? Precinct Captain seems strong too being a double white 2 drop curving in to Reckoner. I just hope there isn't a lack of card advantage if I cut out the Wall.
The only thing Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx is that I have those lands in 2 other devotion like decks and wouldn't really like to shell out any money for another play set or proxy them either.
Pathbreaker Ibex is pretty cool too. I do have a G/W token deck too that I could optimize for Goats possibly.
@Slave - I would like to make a Goat deck, but I still want a deck that will win even if I don't see any of my goat tokens. The 2nd decklist is more of an agressive approach that has a better chance of drawing Springjack Shepherd.
What's the thought of a single Odric, Master Tactician over Jazal Goldmane? I like that Odric lets everything get through, but would it be more beneficial to pump and just have huge dudes? Would it be more beneficial to have the life gain early game (Soul Sisters, Martyr of Sands)?

Play four 1 drops. These decks are significantly scarier when they curve out for the first 4-6 turns and your window to jam a 1-on-1 is tiny. Soul Warden or Figure would work fine but I prefer Figure since it can legit kill people and having mana sinks is awesome when you're playing monowhite given its lack of card draw.
Odric is mostly trash. He doesn't do nearly enough in the early-to-mid game and even when you're ready to apply pressure you'd be better off with something like True Conviction. You want your 4 drops to be good on turn 4 and if they're merely there to provide lategame value then field something more powerful and reliable. I wouldn't bother adding him personally.
Early lifegain is rarely significant for decks that naturally curve out on turns 2-4. Missing 1 is fine in multiplayer since as long as you're jamming things on turns 2-4 you're not going to lose much life on average. Soul Warden is still reasonable and I've seen people gain 20 life off of them before (1 mana and 1 card for 20 life is a fantastic return) but the deck shouldn't be hurting for lifegain in general.

Anyone else have a goat deck out there? What does yours look like? What would you change?

Some of my biggest wins were playing springjack plus Jazal.
My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.
For what it's worth I think I actually like the first one better. It seems more consistent and isn't so reliant on going all in on the tokens. T1 Figure of Destiny, T2 Wall of Omens/Honor of the Pure, T3 Boros Reckoner, T4 Springjack Shepherd, T5 Flickerwisp, T6 Sun Titan seems pretty strong to me.
And style points!
