So, once upon a time, I had this mono-white deck that curled Prid3's toes.
It sat around stalling by gaining obnoxious amounts of life until it had a critical mass of tokens on the board to go swinging with. Of course, back then I was using Resplendent Mentor for life gain, ramping with Gauntlet of Power (which was benefiting everyone else playing white too), and had no discernable card draw whatsoever.
But now... it's back! And it may even be in a form that Prid3 likes better!
General idea - gain freaking buttloads of life, stick loads of counters on the Shrines, pick your deck up with Well of Lost Dreams, use the Doubling Cubes and Mobilization to spit out a heap of Soldier tokens, or just play Storm Herd for a bazillion and get out of the way.
This improves upon the old one in that it a) actually has some good card advantage in the Well, b) doesn't use Resplendent Mentor (which is fun in the right deck, but totally a 5-drop), c) uses a ramp method that doesn't benefit others, and d) now rocks Norn's Annex for protection, which can be safely dropped on Turn 3 (as you know you'll get the life back with this deck).
Will get hosed by my own new Sulfuric Vortex deck, and has no discernable enchantment or artifact removal, but I'll take that risk for now - the vast majority of things that are going to disrupt me in my meta right now are creatures (and hence we have a playset of Swords). We'll see what sort of horrors this deck runs into. If it does, I'll bring in Solemn Offering (just because it gains more life).
Yes, good call. I was limited by what I had with this one (and I have Doubling Cubes but not Caged Suns).
That said, Caged Sun has been floating around my want list for a while... good excuse to grab them, methinks.
