Soooo... I love tribal decks. I love building weird/unusual tribal decks. Phoenix appears to fit the bill. Here's what I came up with. Testing were ok, but any comments/suggestions to make the deck better would be appreciated!
Only restriction is that the deck MUST contains only phoenixes creatures and no lower than 20 of them.
Obviously need more artifacts to make Kuldotha Phoenix works. Was considering replacing Bolts with some sort of Pyroclasm effect (maybe the new cycling one from AKH).
Any other thoughts?

If you're looking to splash a color, I'd look to Onslaught block as it has a lot of 'Lord' type enchantments or Lorwyn for Creature type matters cards.
White would be a good splash for Mirror Entity. Or even other changelings to give yourself some sort of curve.
Also, the 20/20/20 split is quite bad if you want to hit your land drops on a mana hungry deck.
I have a phoenix deck myself, don't have the list on hand though. I don't run any lord effects, I haven't missed them so far. And while while I must admit that Metallic Mimic would fit this deck nicely, it does not fly and so Fault Line kills it instantly (I run it over earhtquake because you can use Braid of Fire mana for it). Phoenixes are slow. I tried several times, but only after the printing of Flamewake Phoenix did i manage to make it work. I finished it over 2 years ago so it could use some upgrades (like the monument you run) but here goes from memory:
First and foremost: you need 4 Chandra's Phoenix. It's excellent for speed against control decks and good for blocking against aggro decks. I also run 4 Searing Blaze. It really works wonders against aggro since you can kill a creature AND get your Chandra's Phoenix back from the grave. The Phoenixes I run are
I also run Knollspine Invocation to give the deck some reach. It can turn the Phoenix cards into repeatable direct damage. I run 4 Fire Diamond, 4 Great Furnace and 4 Darksteel Citadel in order to attain metalcraft. Since the deck also has 4 Tormenting Voice it attains it quite easily though one or two artifact destruction cars make it hard.
How competetive are you trying to make the deck or are you going to make the deck about tribal flavor.
If you want to keep in flavor cut out anything that does not evoke what a phoenix is or does.
for example cut out the chaos warp, tormenting voice, lightning bolt.
try pyroclasm, incinerate, magma spray, brimstone volley.
Also do a gatherer search on phoenixes, there are plenty of better phoenixes to use.

Metallic Mimic

All of these can also help for Kuldotha.
