I made this fairly budget deck based around the Simic, and Vorel. The goal is to grow a bunch of creatures to unstoppable size. It's super budget save for the Hardened Scales, but fortunately I owned a bunch before they went up in price.
The gameplan is fairly decent in a multiplayer setting. Fertilid is nuts in this deck. You can ramp pretty quickly early on, and put more counters on him to continuously do so when needed. The deck has a fairly low mana curve, but there is some Mana intensive abilities. Vigean Graftmage is excellent for a pseudo-vigilance enabler, as well as allowing Vorel to get really out of hand. Forgotten Ancient is a multiplayer staple and allstar in this deck, letting you grow all of your creatures collectively. Plaxcaster Frogling is your best friend. He keeps all of your dudes safe and sound from removal and other abilities, as long as you have the Mana to spare. Fathom Mage is one of the best ways to draw cards in this sort of deck; she keeps you fueled on cards. Thrummingbird just pumps everyone up.
The biggest weaknesses I foresee are board wipes, flying, and tokens. For the most part my playgroup doesn't run a lot of board wipes, so I should be clear of that.
My question is, what cards (preferably "Frontier" Boardered and Budget Friendly) would be better to add?
4 Fertilid
4 Champion of Lambholt
4 Plaxcaster Frogling
4 Fathom Mage
4 Forgotten Ancient
4 Vigean Graftmage
4 Thrummingbird
4 Elvish Mystic
2 Retreat to Kazandu
4 Novijen, Heart of Progress
8 Forest
8 Island
