Hi, this is my first time delving into magic and deck building. I've usually borrowed a friends deck, but I decided to try my luck at building my own at a budget around 60 give or take (very casual group). My friend and I have developed a basic design and could use some guidance to improve it. I should mention that we usually play in small groups (longer game and more turns). Thanks!

Welcome! This being the "Standard" forum, which uses a limited card pool that doesn't include all the cards listed here, I am moving this to a more appropriate location. Happy brewing! - hoser2
As someone who has played for 14 years, I don't want to tell you how to build your deck, that's one of the coolest things to learn. My best suggestion would be to play with it and see what works. If you find yourself putting a card in the back of your hand, cut it. If you find a card saving your butt all the time, add more.
Only real suggestion I would make would be to pick one thing you want your deck to do (attack, gain life, combo, etc.) and make sure most of your cards work towards that goal, or are powered by that goal. Don't just put in flashy cards because they're good. Expensive cards are only as good as the deck they're a part of.
Good luck! Have fun!
