Title is pretty self-explanatory, I am looking for the best tribal cards in magic. I am planning on using the shapeshifter cards from the lorwyn block to try and brew something fun. So which cards have the cheapest lord affects, most tribal abilities, and best tribal based effects?
Value is good. But Dredgevine isn't supposed to be about value. It's supposed to be about V-8; 2000 pounds of nitro boosted war vegetables. The more velocity, the better.
Modern:
DredgeVine EDH:
Gisela, Blade of Goldnight
Anima Standard:
Daru Warchief might be the most OP lord effect on a single critter, giving +2/+1 and reducing the cost by 1. Another good lord option is Lord of the Undead, with built-in graveyard recursion if you want your deck to be more grindy. The cheapest lord effects are probably in blue though, with Lord of Atlantis and Lord of the Unreal.

Elves, Merfolk and Goblins are the strongest tribes. Not necessarily the most fun, however.
These are the decks that I have constructed, and are ready to play:
01. Ankh Sligh to be exact.
Obsidian Battle-Axe further helps go the aggro route.
For card draw, any of the Ringleader effects are good (e.g. Goblin Ringleader, Enlistment Officer, Sylvan Messenger).

Swarmyard regenerates anything.
Finally, if you want to troll the opponent, Whelming Wave is a 1-sided board wipe. Blue also has Patron Wizard, for maximum trolling.
