As a zombie fan and a token fan, this card holds a special place in my heart. The art and flavor are nice. Four power for four mana is on curve. The ability to make more tokens in the late game is nice. It is in a relevant tribe which can get buffs.
I am pretty sure that the best place for this card is in zombie tribal, which has lords to pump the tokens. However, good zombie tribal decks don't want this card either.
Any ideas for a good home for this card? Is it just folder fodder?
"Whatever style you wish to play, be it fast and frenzied or slow and tactical, the surest way to defeat your opponent consistently is by dominating him or her in the war of card advantage." - Brian Wiseman, April 1996
I think it still has a home in a zombie deck that focuses on ETB effects, since a single MotH can create 4 separate ETB triggers over a couple of turns. also keep in mind you are getting 2/2 zombies compared to most token cards that generate 1/1 scrubs. sometimes size does matter. use this to your advantage with sweepers that wipe low toughness creatures so your zombies (hopefully pumped up with a zombie lord) stay in play. you could also try some shenanigans that trigger when players cast creature spells and fill your zombie deck with SPELLS that generate tokens. that might work better in a 2 color zombie deck, perhaps blue and black.

I was thinking a black white tokens deck, but in terms of token production, it doesn't compare to Raise the Alarm, Gather The Townsfolk, Lingering Souls or Spectral Procession in the least. Each of those white cards are far more efficient.
