This is part of a series of Duel Decks intended to show off a color fighting its two enemies, inspired by Mind vs. Might which I suspect will be blue vs. RG. It's only fitting to start with white, whose enemies are black and red. I started with a theme of Law vs. Crime, but when Fenrir Rex brought up the theme of religion in regards to Exava being a potential card for the Crime deck, it hit me that a battle of religious themes would be perfect for white, and what better enemy to represent BR than a fire and brimstone inferno?
This in turn makes finding rares and a mythic rare face card (MRFC) both easier, as Angels and Demons are the top candidates to represent each deck, as well as tougher because there's a lot to choose from. That said, the rare/MRFC selections will largely hinge upon each deck's respective mechanical themes.
Decklists are WIP. Input and suggestions welcome.
The Heavenly deck focuses a lot on Angels and Clerics, with lifegain and +1/+1 counter subthemes.
The Infernal deck focuses a lot on Demons and Devils, with a sacrifice subtheme. There are also some Clerics and Shamans in this deck, representing infernal cultists.
MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
The feel bad interaction of Devouring Light and your current Demonic face card is definitely a thing, though I would call Rakdos 1.0 pretty meh altogether. Malfegor and Defiler of Souls have a bit less of the feel bad potentiality, a far as big demons with both colors.
Hmm, perhaps I should swap Devouring Light out for Divine Verdict?

Should the rares be mostly Angels and Demons/Devils, or should there also be some Humans and/or noncreature cards?

More Soul Sister triggers, Ajani's Pridemate and Angelic Accord to have more ways to profit from lifegain, and a slight enchantment subtheme. With even more cheap ETB effects, Emancipation Angel gets much better.
For the Infernal deck (especially against my modified list with more Soul Sisters), 2 Forge Devil seems really good as 1-drop and even more on-theme than Deathgreeter (lifegain doesn't fit synergy or flavor-wise).
I wonder if you want at least 1 recurring creature for sacrifice fodder. Something like Reassembling Skeleton, even though it's not a Devil or Demon itself, just to help enable the deck's sacrifice mechanics.
Shouldn't your deck have 60 cards? Is it incomplete, or does your special duel format just play with smaller decks?

The standard Duel Deck formula is 1 mythic and 5 rares. The decklists look incomplete because they are, hence the "decklists are WIP" up at top. I find that if I try to create a full decklist before posting, I often run out of steam and interest, so I settle for a partial list that can be filled in later.
Thank you for the suggestions, but Phyrexian cards really aren't suitable for the Heavenly deck. Ajani's Pridemate doesn't fit the flavor either. Auriok Chamnpion would indeed be too OP as the Infernal deck has almost no answers for it.
I'm considering Angelic Accord, I just don't want the lifegain and tokens to be overwhelming for the Infernal deck.

Angel of Jubilation is cool but might be too strong against the Infernal deck's mechanics, leading to feel-bad moments.
Blessing might also be on-flavour. Or Serra's Embrace, which turns anything into a functional Angel.
Even if Suture Priest is the wrong flavor and Auriok Champion is too OP, having both Soul Warden and Soul's Attendant seems good. They're both Clerics, they're lifegain-themed, they have "soul" in the name (heavenly concept), and they just synergize so well with your mythic.
The infernal deck can answer the lifegain 1/1s with Forge Devil, which seems very flavorful as a Devil and also a nice foil to cards in the Heavenly deck.
If you want a sacrifice theme, what about Attrition and/or Dictate of Erebos? They do everything the Infernal deck want to do. They help deal with the big flying Angels that the Heavenly deck will make without making big flying demons too. And white has ways to answer strong enchantments -- Clerics like Kor Sanctifiers or spells like Disenchant -- so they shouldn't get too OP.
Since the inferno is all about torment, perhaps I should shift the deck to care more about dealing damage and using wither + persist? Everlasting Torment would be a pretty good answer to Archangel of Thune. I'm also considering bringing in some Cinders from Shadowmoor, like Ashenmoor Liege. Creatures actually made of fire and brimstone might not be the most traditional, but they still fit the style.

You at least have to telegraph it, so then it's the rakdos players fault if they walk into it. Works.

Shattered Angel
Voice of All
If you are allowed rares other than the Mythic, then either Battlegrace Angel or Angel of Salvation seem useful both for synergy and flavor.
In terms of on-theme Clerics, what about Suture Priest? And Soul Warden?
Would Auriok Champion be too OP against the other deck?
Shouldn't your deck have 60 cards? Is it incomplete, or does your special duel format just play with smaller decks?
Assuming 60 cards, I'd go something like:
2 Soul Warden
2 Soul's Attendant
1 Crimson Acolyte
1 Obsidian Acolyte
1 Suture Priest
1 Auriok Champion
1 Ajani's Pridemate
1 Angelic Page
2 Emancipation Angel
2 Kor Sanctifiers
1 Heliod's Pilgrim
1 Monk Idealist
1 Goldnight Commander
1 Seraph of Dawn
1 Voice of All
1 Archangel of Thune
1 Dawnstrike Paladin
1 Shattered Angel
1 Patron of the Valiant
1 Goldnight Redeemer
2 Call to Serve
1 Pacifism
1 Banishing Light
1 Angelic Accord
//Artifacts: 1
1 Angelic Armaments
//Instants: 4
1 Apostle's Blessing
1 Test of Faith
1 Divine Verdict
1 Congregate
//Sorceries: 2
1 Angelic Purge
1 Defy Death
24 Plains

I've decided to switch Rakdos the Defiler out for Rakdos, Lord of Riots. He works better with the pain theme the Infernal deck is going for.
