I'ld like to see a Mindmoil-deck built.
To make it extra hard: it has to be monored (artifact cards are allowed).
And all cards need to have the modern layout.
Oh, and no expensive cards.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.
Interesting restrictions, keeps the obvious combos of Jace's Erasure and Niv-Mizzet out... I want to go ham and add Alhammarret's Archive. I have no idea how you would keep from just decking yourself, but "every time you play a spell, double the size of your hand" seems broken. I'll add a single copy. I don't think this deck will have a problem finding it.

The flashback offers an additional trigger for Mindmoil too.
i think that Buyback would also be effective. Thus, adding only 2 Searing Touch. Buy it back, and it should be counted as one of the cards in our hand.
I opted for the Touch over Fanning the Flames because a>Instant speed, and b> at worst case, FtF costs the same as Touch. 4R for Instant Ping vs 4RR Sorcery Ping.

Also, voting to remove 2 Psychosis Crawler. This card is more suited to more dedicated draw-oriented decks, which is not red's strength [as we continually play spells, our hand shrinks]. Also, did no one else notice that Vault did not explain this addition? It's a rule of the game, you have to explain the addition. It should be removed until he actually explains why it'd be a worthwhile addition to the deck.
That said, adding 4 Forgotten Cave for some cycling pseudo-fetching action.

Not exactly, cards need the modern layout, but Ruby Medallion for example is not actually 'modern' legal. There are quite a few cards like this out there. There are also rituals that are banned in modern that are good here.
edit: Also Conspiracy 2 has just brought us Burning Wish, and I could see this deck running Chrome Mox or even Sol Ring. There are plenty of cards with the modern layout that are not modern cards.
Sorry I figured it was obvious. You don't really care about how big Psychosis crawler is. The point is that every card you draw with it out makes your opponent lose a life. With Mindmoil, cheap spells/cantrips, and the such you should hopefully be drawing a ton of cards once you untap. It doesn't matter if your hand size goes down, this card makes it so that the simple act of drawing a card will kill your opponent. Without it I have no idea how the current iteration of this deck is supposed to actually kill anyone.
EDIT: I'm not sure if I can vote to keep my own card so I'll leave it as is for now. I think I've made a good case for why it should be kept though.
EDIT2: I'm voting we cut the Devour in Flames. Not being able to hit players and returning a land to your hand both some rough. We also have plenty of burn that can hit players so I don't think it's really necessary

Obvious or not, the game still calls for you to explain your additions and removals. A while back, every blue deck had Senor Gamebreaker because he was "obvious" for every and any blue deck.

They are not modern legal, but they have several printings with the modern frame, so they fit the rule that was laid out by the OP. This is exactly what I was talking about in my last post. I feel like this is very intentional. Quilt could have said "let's make it modern legal" but they didn't, so I think forgotten cave is just fine. This is reinforced by the fact that they also added Ruby Medallion, which has only been printed in Tempest and Commander.
If you want to check modern legality of cards (without accessing the list and having to think) you can go to mtgvault, build this deck in there and then just click on the card you wish to check. It will tell you all of the legality restrictions (Standard, Modern, etc.). I post all of my decks there and it instantly tells you the legality of the deck as a whole and will tell you what cards make a deck not legal in certain formats.
I'm going to add 2 Magus of the Wheel, because I'm thinking that judge foil Wheel of Fortune is probably considered an "expensive card", but drawing seven seems good. He's also reminding me a bit of memory jar, and that card's pretty busted.
I also vote to keep all four Psychosis Crawlers, right now they are our best win condition.
Adding 2 Chandra Ablaze. I think the removal and card drawing could work well with this deck. I think the 6 cmc is feasible with the Seething Songs and Ruby Medallions.

I vote to cut all the devour in flames. Returning a land to your hand is probably fine as an alternate cost, but not really as an additional cost. The real killer though is that it can't hit players.
