I absolutely loved that deck. I constructed this deck to make it more of my own, to have a bit of pride in it.
This deck still has its founder's kill conditions of Kaervek's Torch and Vent Sentinel. The major change between the original and this are the Axebane Guardians which makes the deck a bit more ramp-y. I've found this works a bit better, at least for me. Once an Axebane Guardian is able to get on the field, then its a real show, as long as it stays there. There are a couple ways to get the Axebane, Pack Hunt and Drift of Phantasms. Honestly, I'd have to say Walls and Defenders are my favorite archetypes/abilities, they are just a blast, especially when you are able to deal 20 to 40 damage directly to a player in a single turn, but it takes some time.
why must everyone try to build these decks like this? so, unimaginative...
*aHem*
Wall of Frost needs to be either Fog Bank or Guard Gomazoa. why stall a creature, when you can just go "nyah" damage?, or dropped entirely to complete the playsets of more important walls. Bouncing a creature via Membrane is better than just delaying the creature.
Vent Sentinel telegraphs exactly what you plan to do, consider Battle Rampart to give it has, so you can start blasting away asap; works likewise with Axebane.

Gruul Turf/Simic Chamber could easily be Frontier Bivouac
