So I really enjoy "engine" decks. They feel like mini combos, but it requires turns to setup, and fuel to keep going. I was trying to decide between grove of the guardian and Siren of the silent song, but i'm more interested in UB right now than GW. Let's make some sort of an engine that abuses SotSS. the Inspired ability seems so fun, and I know you all will come up with more ways to untap it than only after swinging each turn. Hell, if it doesn't attack at all, that would be hilarious to me. And maybe we can even take advantage of the cards in their gy!
I'd also like to remind people that SotSS is also a zombie, do with that what you will
Rules:
1) Please follow the official GMaD rules.
2) Don't worry about restrictions, just no "un" cards.
3) I'd like to try to make some sort of reusable engine for the card
How would Aura of Dominion work with Inspired? imo, that's just too hysterical to pass up if it's legal (namely tapping itself to untap itself). Adding 4. in the worst case, you just tap one to untap another and just let them chain off that. And as a plus- it's cheaper and less color-specific than Freed from the Real- which imo is too obvious.

i THINK it works...
tap an untapped is the cost, so that takes place before the ability goes on the stack and then resolves, which means it seems to be a legal target, even if it isn't targeting in the second part of it. and I believe this would wreck their hand at instant speed.

It doesn't say "Tap another untapped creature" so, it should work...

Wow, I like this deck already! And here I was thinking of stupid things to tap it like Opposition. I'm pretty sure Aura of Dominion works exactly as it has been described already, so....
Since we now have a really nice two card engine, I'm going to say to start the disruption off early and protect it with 4x Duress.
I'll add one Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir. It's a hard lock with Siren and Aura because you can just make them discard whatever answers they might draw at the end of their draw step. Consider adding Disciple of Deceit to help find combo pieces.
I would love to see that card in here, but today, my addition will be 4 Springleaf Drum.
tap an inspired creature, gain 1 mana, maybe we can find another card that costs 1 mana to untap a permanent or something. at the very least it allows us to tap without attacking. i'm kind of interested in a removal package + skirsdag High Priest
as another way to tap creatures down. kill an opponent's creature, tap 3 (skirsdag + 2 inspired creatures), get a 5/5 flyer. seems legit... you know what.. i'm changing my addition to 2 skirsdags haha. i would be comfortable with more if there was a good removal package

I would add those drums for you, but Pain seers... They are forcing me to add them. We will have so much card advantage! I'm adding 3 because I'm not sure we need 4.
What's wrong with Opposition? That seems like a great card for the deck! I'll add 4.
Inspired triggers upon untapping. Opposition just taps, and without an external untap mechanism, it will be an uninspiring wait for the trigger. voting to remove 2.
That said, waiting for a AoD to show up, we could still use an external untap mechanism- adding 4 Refocus. cantrippy goodness. I was considering Tidal Bore for surprise/free untap.

I think i'm more of a fan of Triton Tactics and/or Cerulean Wisps cantrip with the latter, or target two inspired creatures and buff defense for tricky blocking with TT. I think both options are better than Refocus so i'm voting all of those out, and will be adding either of those two on my next add
I don't think opposition will be super good unless we use it to search for the King if we can search for things with Disciple of Deceit. So i'm removing 2 as well. maybe more later.
For now though, I think i'll add 2 King Macar, The Gold-Cursed. With Aura of dominion, we can just clear fields and get mana to sac for good synergy with Skirsdag High Priest.
I'm just going to ahead and vote out Skirsdag High Priest. In addition to needing a morbid trigger to do anything, the 5/5 is going to be sort of pointless when we have our opponent in a permanent Silence with Teferi, Aura of Dominion and the Siren. Moreover it doesn't even trigger when Macar removes something.
Similarly, I will vote out opposition. Maybe for less mana it could be considered, but since it only gives 1 tap per creature per turn, it's just not worth it. There's another thing that does that. It's called attacking :p:p Voting out all copies.
Might as well try not to die, so I'll add two Disciple of Deceit. With this card, we can transmute Siren of the Silent Song into a Freed from the Real (if we decide to add a singleton solely for this purpose). It can also transmute an extra copy of itself into an Aura of Dominion. I think this card should fill the role that Pain Seer does presently, so I will vote it out. Sure, it doesn't draw you cards, but when your opponent has zero hand for the entire game, CA isn't much of an issue anyway.
aww, i'd hate to see skirsdag go. I decided to run with my own decisions and build the deck for myself, and I can tell you that skirsdage is performing like a madman, especially in combination with a good kill package and the sac tokens from king macar. right now we have no win cons and no way to reallllly deal with anything that makes it onto the enemies field. 5/5 flier, even one = 4 turns until you win.
keep in mind that they will have 0 cards in hand AFTER t4

Combining the votes that's three votes against 2 copies of opposition and one person wants to cut the remaining two. I'm going to update the count. I'm also going to put in my two cents. I like opposition in here, but I do think 4 is too many as they don't do anything extra in multiples. Yes, attacking does tap creatures, but attacking does not deny resources like Opposition. You use Opposition to tap things on your opponent's turn, tapping down their creatures or lands on their upkeep. I thought that was pretty obvious, but maybe not. It can be really strong in a deck with a lot of creatures, and is another way to provide control until you find a zombie siren to make them discard all their things.

I don't think these cards do the same thing at all. Pain Seer is card advantage, and Disciple of Deceit is card filtering/card selection. Disciple provides no actual card advantage, you have to get rid of a card (and it must be a non-land) in order to get something else. These could actually work really well together. Particularly if we added something like top to the deck to look at what's there on the end of the turn (or before we untap with an ability). Also if you do draw Pain Seer after Disciple, you can transmute it for Aura of Dominion which is one of our combo pieces. If you draw Pain Seer first, then it helps you dig. I could see getting rid of pain seer if you think it's a liability (going to die to the life loss) but I don't think that is a real concern yet.
That's actually the beauty of the Siren. It mills in addition to making them discard, so it actually wins the game in addition to keeping them at zero hand for the entire game.
Adding 4 Paradise Mantle for some good mana and taps- aw yeah. It's like springleaf drum, but if you can untap the creature you can use it again, which can allow color filtering, and reduces the strain on our mana by tapping other creatures to get untaps instead of tapping lands. (Tap the creature with mantle to float a mana and use Aura of Dominion and any untapped creature to untap the creature with the mantle, tap that creature to float a mana... repeat until all your creatures are tapped).
I'll add three Remands. If we have a Siren of the Silent Song active, it's better than a regular counterspell. Plus, it's just nice to be able to keep ourselves alive until we combo out.
I'm adding 2 Intruder Alarm- if we keep the High Priest, we can get potentially infinite Demon tokens, and an ungodly amount of inspire triggers.
I was thinking Riptide Chronologist and/or Teardrop Kami- or hell, Vile Urchin for the Morbid trigger.

Yes, you have the OP power of 'absolute law' also known as 1.1.3. You can vote to outright remove a card, or to negate all votes against a card. People can still vote to remove the card(s) you save.
Also, Triton Tactics doesn't seem "better" than Refocus, as it's more defensive/combat tricky to play. The Wisps is slightly "better" i'd rather use that over the Tactics.

triton is much better imo. it targets two creatures, and it buffs defense, and it can cause good tap down effect. it also doesn't NEED to be used as a defensive tool, just a two creature inspire trigger.
gum god, yeah, i have thrasher in my version of this deck, and he gets huge. no evasion though. but usually gets through since macar clears fields pretty well.
