So I've decided I'm making my own duel decks and after careful consideration I've decided to go with Nature vs Civilization. The Nature deck will be green and red while the Civilization deck will be white, blue, and possibly black. I haven't decided on whether or not I need the third color.
I feel pretty good about the nature deck. I'm open to individual card suggestions but a lot of the Gruul cards from Ravnica fit with the flavor I'm going for.
The tricky part is the civilization deck. I want the deck to feel cold and calculating. Completely cut off from anything seeming natural. I'm considering giving the deck an artifact theme to help with this but I don't want to turn the deck into nature vs robots. I'm looking for cards that convey a message that nature is just something that needs to be controlled or something that is just pretty to look out. I'm at a big loss and could use some suggestions for this.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.
Civilization:
No decklist here, just a few directions you could go. Human tribal is obvious, Angelic Overseer comes to my mind. Or maybe a defender deck with cards like Wall of Omens, Basilica Guards, Perimeter Captain or Lobber Crew, where civilzation must defend their cities and villages against beeing destroyed by the beasts of the wild.

I wonder if Civilization should be a UW artifact-heavy deck, focusing on knowledge and technological creations. I think that makes a natural antithesis to the raw primal green aggro "Nature" theme. Although you don't just want plain robots.
You could draw on ideas from Scars of Mirrodin block. Metalcraft mechanic, maybe some of the Affinity mechanic. It wouldn't have to be pure robots, but just colored cards boosted by artifacts. Ex:
Or maybe even a UW prison deck based around "Law and Order" type cards. The prison and detain mechanics have a very "controlled and restrained" spirit that fits with the idea of civilization:

As for civilization I do like the flavor text of perimeter captain and I could see myself throwing in a few walls but most of these don't quite fit.
