i think we are using commune/mulch/salvage as a way to fill our yard for recursion. so it probably fits better than a flat tutor here. now that I know about commune, i wish I could swap out my 4 grisly with the commune.

There is still a chance with grisly on the chopping block. I am all for any tutors deemed feasible for the deck! I am just excited to see good discussion on this deck and GMaD as involved as it has been.
We don't want to fill our graveyard too much, though, or Chant will be way too random. Cards like Buried Alive are excellent choices, though.

Also Hermit Druid tends to not live very long. If you get to activate him once or twice, you should be winning, but don't expect it to happen much.

voting out 2 heart beat of spring. it is symmetrical advantage, and is only good for us if we have cards in hand to cast. we have no draw engine, and we're purposely putting our creatures in the grave. we probably don't need 4 of these helping our opponent more than us.

Gotta say I don't agree with cutting Demon of Death's Gate. It may look Vanilla given that it doesn't have a fancy ETB trigger, but a 9/9 Flying trample ENDS GAMES and is a solid win condition any way you put it down. I'm going to vote to keep it.
I do agree with removing heartbeat of spring though, and will vote against all copies. It doesn't seem like we need it right now.
It seems we have stalled on where to go now. I would love to vote and cut to make some room so we don't go to cutting too quickly, but I have already voted for the cards I would drop to make a difference. And the deck still feels unfinished for the adding phase!
I'm just going to add some fetch lands, they are good with Deathrite and with Hermit Druid (You want non-basics to fill up the yard more) Adding 4 Verdant Catacombs.

I'm going to vote to remove all Demon of Death's Gate. It's a really low-impact fatty, and I'd much prefer seeing another one in its place. I'll also vote to remove all the Mulch.
I'm going to vote to keep the Heartbeat of Spring. It's basically the only solid ramp we have at this time, and we have a 6-mana enchantments and tons of fatties to play, so it's extremely relevant in our deck, and will most likely benefit us more than the opponent (especially with the great ETB abilities that many of the have).
Voting out Relic and Mulch. We have better cards for both effects now. Gone.
I would like to raise loaming shaman to 3 because we really need to draw it and not rely on recursion to get one.
You know what i like here? Either Killing Wave or Gaze of Granite. With heartbeat, either card can really clear a board after dropping the bridge. The gaze seems superior as it removes Heartbeat and keeps our opponent from just dropping their hand afterward.

Aw, I would have liked to see a bit more work done before the cutting phase, but oh well. Very interesting and original sweeper, though! I like it!
I'm going to vote out all copies of Buried Alive. Although I really like the card, 3 mana is a lot to pay and Fauna Shaman seems like it will do a better job.
I'm going to vote out 1 Deathrite Shaman, 1 Hermit Druid, 1 Eternal Witness and 1 land for trimming purposes. I'll also add my vote to remove 1 Sheoldred, as Legendary with a random ability like Chant could be bad news.
Voting out 2 wurmcoils and demon of death's gate. Neither are needed in the quantities they were added. Hope I got the votes worked out correctly for wurmcoil.

I'm going to change my vote on Eternal Witness to remove all copies. At this point, we'd probably much rather reanimate something else every turn rather than use her to put something back into our hand.
I'm also voting to remove all Shriekmaws. Although they're really good, most of our fatties come with removal upon entering as well, so he's a bit underwhelming as a creature. His only saving grace is that you can play him for just two mana. I think it's worth cutting regardless.

I'm also voting to remove all Shriekmaws. Although they're really good, most of our fatties come with removal upon entering as well, so he's a bit underwhelming as a creature. His only saving grace is that you can play him for just two mana. I think it's worth cutting regardless.
