So I stumbled upon the winning deck of PT Avacyn Restored and, while it's a competiive deck it has a very fun core mechanic and I was looking to update it for casual play.
Brainstorm is a great facilitator of Miracle because it's an instant so you can trigger Miracle on your opponent's turn. Ponder is considerably worse than Brainstorm not only because it can't put cards back on top of the deck, but it's a sorcery which means you won't be able to trigger Miracle on your opponent's turn.
My overall suggestion would be to dedicate more cardslots to enable Miracle. In other words, more ways to manipulate the top of the library/ways to return Miracle cards from the hand back to the deck/ways to draw cards on your opponent's turn. You won't need to play Feeling of Dread at all if you can consistently Miracle out Terminus or Devastation Tide.
Take another look at the Miracle cards, they only cost 1 or 2 mana to Miracle out. This means that if you have control over when you hit Miracle cards, you won't need to play 27 lands like other control decks would. However, if you cannot exploit the cheap Miracle costs, it might be more advantageous to just play a non-Miracle equivalent since they usually are cheaper on mana.
