As you mentioned, FoW and Daze can definitely fit well into these decks - I'm not 100% sure if you already have these though if not, there are of course a lot of cheaper alternatives.
I'm also not so sure about the 4 Nev's disk in the main. This might be a metagame call that can easily be replaced with more countermagic or removal in the form of bounce spells or something like Rapid Hybridization
As for creatures, Delver of Secrets would be one option (the deck might change theme though. Snapcaster Mage is another option to fully utilize all your spells.
If you would want to go the single creature /few win-con route, Aetherling is a card I would suggest. Adding some planewalkers (Jace, TMS of course would be first choice given that budget is not an issue) is another option you can consider. Jace, Memory Adept could be another fine win-con (via mill).
EDIT: I completely overlooked the fact that you wanted to play cards before the 8th ed sorry!
Prodigal Sorcerer and Charisma would be pretty good. Need a win condition, let them get something through, and take theirs. Jayemdae Tome as a mana sink+draw when they haven't played anything you need to counter. Ivory Tower you're probably going to be sitting there with a ton of cards in hand waiting to counter something, make it beneficial to you High Tide Is a great card for decks like this. Brain Freeze they decide they are going to get at least something through, and play more than 3 spells, High Tide counter them, then play Brain Freeze. Feldon's Cane You don't want to end up with all of your counterspells in the graveyard.
I definitely agree with Sapphire Medallion it's great utility for this deck.
If I'm not mistaken all of these cards are from before 7th edition.
I know the win condition is less important as long as
you're able to gain control of the game, but I'm still
not sure what that win condition should be.
Any more ideas on that? I'm not finding too many
good pre 8th edition creatures beyond Morphling, Masticore, and Palinchron for mono blue.
If you decide to go with Equilibrium then Triskelion could be a decent choice, I know it has a high cmc, but you'll be getting 4 direct damage for 6 cmc repeatedly with a mono blue control deck. Not bad especially since you're wanting to stick with cards pre 8th ed. Dreamborn Muse I love this card. You throw in a few Feldon's Canes to make sure you don't mill yourself out, and put your counterspells back in the library. Great Whale Basically costs nothing but time. Quicksilver Dragon has evasion, protection, and a solid body for it's cost, especially for an older card. Raven Guild Master ,and Scalpelexis This would probably be my choice. Just exile their library.
Or you could just lock down the game, and abuse High Tide with Metathran Aerostat to cast Verdant Force or some other higher casting cost card out of an off color.
You could also do pretty well the same thing with Shifty Doppelganger
All of these are either before 8th edition or had a previous printing that was before 8th edition.

I'm looking to update this 'Draw, Go' deck with some better cards.
http://archive.wizards.com/Magic/magazine/article.aspx?x=mtgcom/daily/rb63
FoW's and daze's obviously and i think it needs a better win condition.
Some of the win conditions I'm considering are:
Morphling
Arcanis the Omnipotent
Masticore
What are your guys ideas for cards to improve this deck?
I should note that i'm that guys who wants to play with
the old card facade, so its gotta be cards before 8th edition.
Appreciate it,
-Nick
First let me try to format the deck from the link for easier reference:
4 Quicksand
4 Stalking Stones
26 lands
1 Rainbow Efreet
1 creature
4 Counterspell
4 Dismiss
2 Dissipate
3 Forbid
4 Force Spike
4 Impulse
3 Mana Leak
1 Memory Lapse
4 Nevinyrral's Disk
4 Whispers of the Muse
2 Capsize
1 Grindstone
4 Hydroblast
4 Sea Sprite
4 Wasteland
As you mentioned, FoW and Daze can definitely fit well into these decks - I'm not 100% sure if you already have these though if not, there are of course a lot of cheaper alternatives.
Some suggested improvements/possible replacements to the deck:
Dismiss - Cryptic Command
Forbid - Dissolve
Whispers of the Muse - Brainstorm or Ponder
I'm also not so sure about the 4 Nev's disk in the main. This might be a metagame call that can easily be replaced with more countermagic or removal in the form of bounce spells or something like Rapid Hybridization

How is your knowledge of pre 8th cards?
Maybe there are some older alternatives
to these cards.
3x or 4x Morphling could also be strong, but unfortunately, the m10 combat damage changes make returning it to your hand far weaker.
I don't know your budget, but there's few decks that can't be improved by brainstorm + fetchlands.
Finally, Predict is a meta call, but can be very strong against tutor effects, or for dumping specific cards to the graveyard after a brainstorm.
Jayemdae Tome as a mana sink+draw when they haven't played anything you need to counter.
Ivory Tower you're probably going to be sitting there with a ton of cards in hand waiting to counter something, make it beneficial to you

Those are all great ideas. The 'free spell'
mechanism of those Urza's block creatures
lend themself well to 'Draw, Go'.
Ivory Tower and Sapphire Medallion are
definitely going in there.
