A deck I made because my boyfriend keeps crushing me with creature swarms. We don't follow any of the rules over card restrictions really but he does bar some cards, mostly the mana cards and Planewalkers (bummer!) so please don't comment on how many illegal cards this deck probably has.
The focus here is to thwart him when he starts making his board by having defenders stronger than his usual creatures and Order of the Stars to deal with some of his bigger ones until I have my combo. I've done a number of test games and I think I'm a little over the necessary mana but I am a savagely unlucky person so after more games with this deck I'll decide how much mana can be safely discarded. My boyfriend tells me you can only have one Legendary Land out at a time which is why I have two Vesuva's.
What do you guys think? Suggestions, criticisms? I really like this deck and don't want to copy/paste some other deck that counters creature swarm but any comments on how to refine this or trim things while still keeping the focus on the Phyrexian Rebirth bomb would be very helpful!
If you're running Forbidden Orchard and Vesuva, consider running the "Hunted" creatures. give him a token creature to empower the Rebirth's Horror token, even gives you a beatstick of your own; even Varchild's War-Riders.
if you're worried about ankle-biters getting through, Aurification. just turn all those creatures into statues for the Rebirth Horror to gobble up.

If you're running Enchanted Evening, Ajani's Chosen is always a fun time. You get literally INFINITE Cat tokens due to the fact that they're all enchantments (thanks Evening!). To stop the combo, however, you could run something like Auratog to eat the Evening after you've had you fill on Cats. Then, a Rebirth would net you a huge Horror. Plus, if your other enchantments are gonna be destroyed, you could sac them in response for a slightly bigger Tog.
I took out some of things nonessential to getting Phyrexian Rebirth out of ready and added in more stalling. I swapped Lifelink for Murder Investigation in case he locks up my Horror somehow. So far the only decks he's used against me on octgn are really cruel white life gain decks and red or green swarm decks. I have this blue deck that locks him out of his turns and has my wincon involve a flying creature so that one isn't as tough to deal with but the Thallid deck is monstrous

The only way I'd suggest keeping Enchanted Evening, is if you run Flickering Ward and Blind Obedience/Basilica Guards as well. Use all mana from the Sanctum to constant bounce the Ward, and extort the hell out of your bf.

if you're running Defenders, you should really consider Wall of Omens and Stalwart Shield-Bearers to get draw and boost, so they survive longer. and Angelic Wall/Sunweb for flying protection.
if you're worried about ankle-biters getting through, Aurification. just turn all those creatures into statues for the Rebirth Horror to gobble up.
