1st, deck tag. Put [DECK][/DECK] around your list. You can change settings in the user control panel so that you get a bunch of tag icons above your 'description field' (s.o. tell me how you call the place we type our posts in :B:).
- Solfatara and Turf Wound are not exactly LD, and while tey set back your opponent by a turn, this deck is probably not the one to use them, because you can't back that tempo gain up by a reasonably fast clock.
- Raze with only playing 12 lands. Bad idea.
- Playing 12 lands. Bad idea. Even with eight potent mana cogs. That by being four offs are certainly not adding to the awareness of others of your deck as being a fair one. I guesstimate you mull a lot hands, and Vault without Key is not something I'd want to keep in this list.
- Soldier and Rider are also problematic. I mean, Soldier is just bad, by givign the op. a very easy way of dealing with it. And Rider needs you be able to pay its Echo.

Play more lands, play more 3cmc Stone Rain variants. Maybe Boom, Scorched Earth or Strip Mines.
Play better finishers. Red got a lot efficient beats lately.

Since, as mentioned, even casual games usually won't let you play 4 sol rings, Thran dynamo is a good heavily ramping artifact mana rock. My second favorite after sol ring. Worse ratio than sol ring, but higher density. I wouldn't run more than 1 though. I would definitely prefer it over basalt monolith
And voltaic key loses any really good purpose here once you've cut down to 1x's of sol and vault.
I would replace it with another decent mana rock like worn powerstone. Or another thran dynamo. Or just a mountain.

I am new to these forums, would like to share a deck a non-competitive casual deck. Its a budget land-D type deck, any suggestions much appreciated.

4 flailing soldier

4 Pardic Miner
4 Stone Rain
4 Avalanche Riders
4 Kaervek's Torch

Any suggestions to improve this deck is much appreciated, though keep in mind this is a budget deck. Thanks!

Mana Vault and Sol Ring are generally considered broken cards and are limited to 1 in the only format that allows use of them.
