This is my first post, so I'm not certain this is where it goes, but hopefully I'm in the right place
Anyway, I mainly play casual with our local circle. We have no restrictions on what cards people play with granted they follow all other rules when constructing their decks. I mainly play a mono white Angel control deck. It may not be the best but I love mana ramping with sol ring, playing Guaridan of the Gateless/Spirit Mantel to hold off creatures until I get Avacyn or another bomb out.
I'm interested in building a more aggressive Red/White deck (still maintain an emphasis on Angels). Not sure how to do this, so I'm seeking any advice on how to build this deck. Again keep in mind this is not for 1-on-1, it's for 4-5 player mp.
So far cards I'm thinking of building around include:
*Gisela, Blade of Goldnight (amazing... enough said )
*Sol Ring (mana ramp)
*Spirit Link (gain some life to keep me alive while I'm tapping out attacking each turn)
*Serra Avenger
*That red/white Boros angel from Gatecrash (sorry don't remember the name off the top of my head)
-Thanks

The words casual and "Angel" deck are going to cause me to suggest a request for a forum transfer - Casual is definitely where you want to be - there are some competitive R/W decks in vintage but none of them involve Angels or anything you would probably consider "fun".
Could a mod please move this to the casual forum? Also, those cards seem very centric on lifegain. I'm thinking faster/aggressive with some limited lifegain.

So far I like the idea of making it an aggressive deck with a moderate focus on lifegain to stay alive while tapping out each turn to attack.
These three cards should cover the life gain mechanic of the deck:
Archangel of Thune
Serreph of Dawn
Spirit Link
Any ideas for small/medium size aggressors? (Trying to keep a tribal focus on Angels)

I REALLY like Searing Meditation and Lightning Helix... awesome burn/life gain combo cards that fit the theme. I'm also planning on putting in some Lightning Bolts/Flame Slash's for burn.
I'll be sure to throw in some Serra Avengers since they're probably one of the most efficient angels. I also like the idea of using Voice of All for blocking/unblockable lifelink with Spirit Link. I think I have a good idea on what to use for burn/control spells, any other advice for creatures?
Thanks for all the feedback so far!

If you're going to use searing meditation, you'll want some consistent sources of repeatable lifegain. Pristine Talisman is perhaps the best card to combo with Searing Meditation...tap the pristine, gain a life, which triggers the meditation, and you could sink the talisman's mana into the meditation.
You'll want 4x faith's fetters, as its repeating lifegain, and removal in one.
Since we're in lifegain, ajani's pridemate is a classic creature to benefit from lifegain, and its still budget.
If you want to go the Searing Medication route, try Faithless Looting with Firemane Angel, it be simple and effective life gain as well as potential self-reanimate angel.

Spirit Link IMHO is better, as playing it on an opponents creature effectively neuters it, and give you a possible lifegain trigger if they do anything with it. It often plays like white removal, more than on your own critters, in my experience.
My meta actually doesn't have any card restrictions, I just put it in Vintage since it's the least restrictive format I noticed... I glanced over the casual format at first
Also, I've never seen Spirit Loop before. That looks really cool! I wish it was still one mana, but just a rare or mythic instead though. I might swap out one of my Spirit Links for one of these. Also, do you think it would be worth getting rid of the Temple Acolyte for a second Boros Guild Mage?
The other modification I'm considering would be adding an Angel of Jubilation since it's relatively low mana cost (for Angels) and would benefit all of this deck. I just don't if I could swing the 3W mana requirement and what to remove from this deck to fit it in?

Currently there are 24 land plus the two Sol Rings, if I were to add another land or two, what should I take out or should it just be a 62 card deck?
My group doesn't have any restrictions on Sol Rings, I only own 2 of them and already feel somewhat bad using both since they're a little over powered and I'm the only one in our group that owns any
As for using Voice of All, I've been strongly considering it, but cant make up my mind on what to take out to make room for one. This is my biggest problem when making decks... I can't ever decide what to trim because I want all the cool cards

I would take out Firemane Avenger, because her battalion cannot trigger without more creatures and you don't have that many to make it work, not to mention the high costs of most angels make them come out after Avenger instead of before.
If I was building this out to be a 1vs1 deck, I'd drop the Shattered Angel in a heartbeat, but since this is a 5 player multiplayer deck, gaining 12 life each cycle around the table is too sweet to give up.
I might drop a Flame Slash or two to replace with Lightning Helix... that's a pretty sweet burn life gain combo card.

Quick R/W Angel suggestions all from recent M14
- Devout Invocation
- Angelic Accord
- Archangel of Thune
And things like Luminarch Ascension.Aurelia is from Gatecrash along with Firemane Avenger.
These three cards should cover the life gain mechanic of the deck:
Archangel of Thune
Serreph of Dawn
Spirit Link
Any ideas for small/medium size aggressors? (Trying to keep a tribal focus on Angels)
Faith's Fetters for in-theme removal
Searing Meditation to supplement the deck by joining life and burn
Boros Garrison for budget friendly fixing / "ramp"
Serra Avenger for lower CC angels (not strictly "aggro", perse, but efficient)
Good ole' Serra Angel is still a good creature, and very budget friendly.
I also like Voice of All as a good midrange angel.
If you're in red, add some burn. Every collection should own at least 4 (or more) Lightning Bolt. Incinerate is also great burn.
Some more lifegain lets you run Angelic Accord with confidence...and you're good to go. Lone Missionary and other cards like Cathedral Sanctifier, Temple Acolyte (good early blocker) could be a fun casual recurring life engine to trigger Accord with Kor Skyfisher and Emancipation Angel.
Lots of interesting lifegain ideas out there
Old school group, sometimes more beer than cards. Revised thru Tempest block (and a little of Urza), sorry if I don't know all the new cards
Ye' Olde Schoole Casual Decks: BUReanimate -- GRAggro -- BWPestilence -- G10-land Stompy -- GRElfball -- GWEnchantress -- RAnkh Sligh -- BDiscard -- MUC "Draw-go" -- BRSuicide -- UWSkies -- UHigh Tide Mill -- WWeenie -- UMutated Bombers -- URThe great land-toss -- UB Molasass
Lightning Helix would excellent in a deck like this as well, burn and life gain in an efficient package.
Current EDH decks:
WBG Doran, the Siege Tower (I Like Big Butts)
URG Surrak Dragonclaw (Guttural Response)
UG Ezuri, Claw of Progress (Phyrexia's Claw)
BR Kaervek the Merciless (Keep Kaervek Alive)
BG Ishkanah, Grafwidow (Descend into Delirium)
W Eight-and-a-Half-Tails (Mark 8.5)
U Thassa, God of the Sea (Here There Be Monsters)
I'll be sure to throw in some Serra Avengers since they're probably one of the most efficient angels. I also like the idea of using Voice of All for blocking/unblockable lifelink with Spirit Link. I think I have a good idea on what to use for burn/control spells, any other advice for creatures?

THere are plenty of other pricey lifegain cards out there...here's some decent ones that are cheap:
Goldnight Redeemer
Soul Attendant (and Soul Warden)...of Soul Sister's fame (someone will post that standard deck pretty soon)
Healer of the Pride
Kabira Crossroads
Kemba's Skyguard
Lone Missionary (I note again, but its quite efficient, and 2 power for 1W provides a decent 2nd turn presence to block or attack)
Peace Strider (okay only for multi color lifegain decks)
Seraph Sanctuary (you very well may love this one)
Shattered Angel
Anyways, hope that helps give some ideas

I would add Voice of All here, consider how many aura you have you could use a resilient 4cc angel.
Land count is pretty low, even with 2 Rings..you 'need' to hit your land drops with a curve that high.
My group doesn't have any restrictions on Sol Rings, I only own 2 of them and already feel somewhat bad using both since they're a little over powered and I'm the only one in our group that owns any
