The 8/03/16 random card of the day is Icy Manipulator. If you have any comments, combos or a decklist involving this card, feel free to share.
Back in the day, it was very popular with Royal Assassin. The purpose of my deck with Icy Manipulator is to give my opponent a City of Brass then tap it as many times as possible.
Unfortunately every try hard from Sacramento to Shanghai preaches from the top of their 27 lands + Mana Reflection that Tooth and Nail and Time Stretch are fine to play in the same turn but Armageddon is unfair.

This card is actually super sick in Edh. Since Banding let's you choose how damage is assigned when you block you can use it for all sorts of stuff. You can negate trample damage by having a trampler assign all of its damage to a creature or you can have like 10 of your 1/1s trade with a 10/10 and you put all their damage on one dude so you get to keep the other ten. You can put like a 6/1 in a band with something like a Fog Bank and you never have to worry about your 6/1 dying. There are tons of interesting things you can do with it when blocking and probably also some stuff you can use it for when attacking. Probably. At the very least it's fun to play it and let your opponents try to figure out what is going to happen.

This is a ramping aggro deck that I built mainly around Thorn Elemental and Kalonian Twingrove. I like having lone wolf because it is essentially a cheaper thorny.
Rhox was always my favorite creature with this effect. I always felt like it should be keyworded too but I guess only showing up in green is holding it back.

I can't help but snicker at the potential fart joke.

MTGS Wikia Article about "New World Order"
Every time I read a comment about "Well if this card had card draw/trample/haste/indestructible/hexproof/life gain...", I think "You're missing the point." They're armchair developer comments that fail to take into account the card's role in the greater Limited and Standard environment. No, it may not be as good as whatever card you're comparing it to. There's a reason for that. Not every burn spell is Lightning Bolt, nor does it need to be or should be.
PSA to everyone who keeps forgetting about the Reserved List:
You're on a website dedicated to talking about MtG. You're only a few keystrokes away from finding out what cards are on the Reserved List. You're also only a few keystrokes away from finding out why some cards on the Reserved List got foil printings in FtV, as Judge promos, or whatnot, as well as why that won't happen again. Stop doing this.
