Out of nostalgia, I decided to make a deck with my old simic cards from ravnica block, around the time I started playing Magic again after a long hiatus.
My simic deck from then always seemed like something was missing. My attempt to correct this is the addition of red. This is what i got:
So the goal is to play creatures that grow +1/+1 counters (with the help of proliferate cards), protect them with the frog, clear the opponent's board with mirrorweave targetting a graft creature and beat face.
Thanks, but i think i found some better stuff. First, taurean mauler proved to be not so good. I'm swapping those for some fertilids because it goes well with kudzu and razerunners. Also, in team multiplayer (a format i play often, two-headed giant or emperor) it can help my teammates struggling with their mana by targetting them instead of me with the ability
Also, i found out about primordial hydra. It's brutal both early (play it for one, graft it/proliferate it) and late game. It also gains trample at some point wich is nice. Only issue is the GG cost but i've added some lands to take care of this.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, i want to keep this modern legal... My legacy metagame is too strong for this deck but my modern metagame is a bit more casualish
