After a long hiatus i recently started playing again, a few of the old crew got together and played a MP FFA. We basically threw piles of card in the middle of the table and everyone made a deck on the fly.
I made a Gruul Aggro deck and i really enjoyed how it came out thematically but i want to make it better. In its current state its a bit sluggish and feels very single player, i didn't have many cards at my disposal to make it work better for multi-play.
I have a lot of singles in the deck due to cards at hand but not sure what to bump up, I like the thought keeping it focused around trample, riot and bloodthirst having it thematically stay true to Gruul.
Some of the cards listed are probably too weak even for single player, so I recommend cutting them:
1 Shower of Sparks
1 Stony Strength
1 Terrifying Presence
1 Dragon Blood
1 Satyr Hedonist
1 Bloodrock Cyclops
1 Skarrgan Skybreaker
1 Borborygmos
1 Thunder Brute
2 Scab-Clan Mauler (not enough 1 drops to make this trigger)
Cards that don't really fit the theme:
1 Savage Twister (destroys your creatures)
1 Nikya of the Old Ways (ramps your opponents)
I would build around your stronger cards:
1 Orcish Lumberjack
1 Skarrg Guildmage
1 Zhur-Taa Druid
2 Gruul Spellbreaker
1 Nylea, God of the Hunt
2 Boartusk Liege
1 Primordial Hydra
1 Deus of Calamity
1 Primeval Titan
1 Ruric Thar, the Unbowed
2 Rubblehulk
1 Fires of Yavimaya
You need some more hard hitting 2/3 drops (cards like Burning-Tree Emissary are nice since they get pumped by your Lieges) or some cards like the Zhur-Taa Druid that can ramp you a bit and get some bonus damage. Also do you have some any card draw in your collection? This deck will run out of gas quickly in the face of removal.
If you want more specifics, let me know what cards you have and/or if you want to spend on new cards.
I took this in a (imo) fun direction: Oops, All Creatures!
You can basically replace most common spell effects with ETB effects and there's also other mechanics that play like spells whenever you need them to.. (This lady really puts in work here FYI.)
Ruric Thar, the Unbowed is even better in this type of deck for obvious reasons. Some decks will just fold to him alone. However, my actual wincons were simple but effective and on-theme as well: #1#2
This deck isn't guaranteed to win every game but you might be surprised how many decks can't topdeck a Wrath, or just don't run enough removal to handle this type of threat density. It's also a fun change of pace for a deck. Just run them over..
Here's the deck I've been playing. The Lurking Predators is great in multiplayer and the singleton Primal Surge is usually a game-ender, allowing you to flip your deck onto the battlefield and attack with the Concordant Crossroads.
Hidetsugu, have you considered the Locus lands instead of Urza lands? If you play with 4 Cloudpost and 4 Glimmerpost, you will probably have more reliable and explosive mana to fuel your 6+ CMC spells.
I like the idea of bumping up Boartusk Liege to 4x and then using more multicolor Gruul creatures. Gruul Guildmage, Vexing Shusher, Apocalypse Hydra, Burning-Tree Shaman, both Radhas...seems like there are a lot of fun R/G creatures for multiplayer that can also benefit from the Liege's double boost.
Thanks for the suggestion! The Urza lands are pretty reliable with Primeval Titan, but you're right that the Locus lands would produce more mana overall.

What do you folks think? thanks in advance.

The first thing I see is that Orcish Lumberjack is in direct competition with Rubblehulk. A different fatty in this spot would be good (I love Sylvan Primordial).
