Eureka. I stumbled across something powerful. Figured it out last weekend and ordered my cards--then I waited..--everything finally showed up so I got it built for our games last night and it absolutely rocked...
That's the basic thing. To be honest, the Grinding Station was the add-on idea. The basic ideas was just using Treasure tokens to abuse Altar, which mills each opponent. That's quite gross. But, the card is pretty hot right now being paired with Underworld Breach and that's what got it on my radar. It is obviously perfect here. Each and every treasure token represents a chance to untap it and mill 3 more cards away.
Rousing of Souls is another 4-of in this deck. Never seen it before I started doing my reserach. It is 100% perfect. It is literally made for this deck. I played it twice last night and it gave me 5, then 6 chump blockers. These, in turn, trigger the Altar and mill for more. Then, I passed these to each of my flankers (a house rule, we allow you to pass creatures on upkeep) for chump-blocking stuff. (They happen to be Flying so they can attack well too.)
Secure the Wastes is a 2x as another way to just blow the roof off if you end up stockpiling your treasure tokens. All those tokens will trigger the Altar just fine.
Apart from that, I'm running a lot of the obvious stuff you might run in a white MP deck. Authority of the Consuls, Grasp of Fate, Tragic Arrogance stuff like that. 4x Maze of Ith in there too. Sure. It is entirely creatureless deck but you could build it to taste. I can provide the whole list if folks are interested in it.
Once I thought it up, I did a fair amount research and I didn't find any other decks abusing this specific interation *anywhere* so I'm kinda proud of this one. Hoping this might be a thing others want to try out and develop from here. I am absolutely gonna keep working on it--it was GREAT.
Sram's Expertise will make token creatures that happen to also be artifacts for grinding station and let you cast something else right away.
You may want to run rest in peace to keep people from reshuffling their graveyard into their library.
Excellent, thank you! Procession was actually in (1x) until it got cut for something else. Absolutely a shoe-in if I can find a spot for it. Completely forgot about Sram's Expertise agreed, that is potentially very good here; many thanks it is now a priority to find room for this card--awesome. RIP was also in (also 1x) but it got at the same time as Procession. (If memory serves, both were cut to make room for the Mazes ) I also had some 2nd thoughts on RIP only because it effects all players and there's a drawback there for me.. (I suspect folks will target my Tithes a lot.) It also shuts down any teammates graveyards, which they might really hate me for, so I passed on it. Anyone without those concerns..I would definitely suggest it.
Looking at it again now, it is a scooch light on the mana. I'll have to get more reps in, for sure. Tokens are intended to help a little but that's hardly a reliable plan.
Endless Atlas is honestly just a new card that I stumbled upon online. Wanted to test it out in monowhite & monored decks. This seemed like as good a place as any. I dunno it just seems..******* amazing to me for casual decks? I mean.. Anyone tried it out?
Card draw seems to be the main issue I see but that's not always an easy solution in mono white. You mentioned you were trying out Endless Atlas but if those don't work, in my mono white or Boros type decks, I usually just default to Mind's Eye. Especially in decks that I already plan to run with Enlightened Tutor.
But if you don't wanna go that direction some other suggestions might be Treasure Map since you'll basically be printing treasures with your Smothering Tithe. It'll also turn into a mana producing land. Or another option could be Karn, Scion of Urza for both card draw and the ability to create fat artifact creature tokens.
Kor Haven could also be an addition if you wanna cut back on the Maze of Iths for more mana producing lands.
It got me thinking that would it be fun to build a black version that replaces Smothering Tithe with Revel in Riches and then you would use Damnation to create those treasures and use the treatures to mill opponents... but then I realized that you would just win the game with Revel in Riches in the first place
How about a Nuisance Engine to fuel the Station and give you some defensive power? And trigger the Altar of course.
This is also really cool but I don't like the idea I'm using 5 before I'm getting anything out of it. That is rough. I think maybe I'd just throw in Retrofitter Foundry and call it a day.

If you're not pairing it with Victory Chimes I'm getting my beating stick >:(!

Yep! I've won many an EDH game by going something like turn 8 Revel in Riches + Toxic Deluge when no one had an answer.
