Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
In magic there's Harry Dresden, Fizban, Sethra Lavode, Dorotea Senjak and me...
My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.
I'll be writing my review shortly (hooray for 14 hour work days!) but I think that people are going to be sorely disappointed with Chaos Wand. That card is fairly abysmal from what I've seen. Stitcher's Supplier has been bonkers for me so I'm glad that other people are playing her as well :). Starting a GY-based deck with 4x Sitcher and 4x Satyr Wayfinder with 4x Diabolic Intent (and/or Unearth/Evolutionary Leap/Eldritch Evolution/Birthing Pod) feels indescribably good.
Tomb seems like one of those cards you can jam into just about any non-threshold "graveyard matters" deck and get at least some value out of. I'm really looking forward to toying with it.
This is one of the first sets in a while where I haven't bought any sealed, just singles. Stitcher's Supplier, Sarkhan's Unsealing and Liliana's Contract were my other purchases. I'll probably grab some Scapeshifts and Crucibles whenever they bottom out (which should be soon).

Unless I'm mistaken, Desecrated Tomb also creates bats when you shuffle creature cards into your library a la Elixir of Immortality . Not saying it's especially good, but interesting to think about.
Yes it will. But only one trigger per event alas...
Oh you're right; I misread it
Yeah same reason why it's weak with Twilight's Call style cards too. You want a lot of small, individual triggers, not something massive that does everything at once. I do love the synergy with Tortured Existence though.

BTW, Scrapheap scrounger creates two bats every activation. First bat is when you exile the creature since it's part of casting cost. Second bat is when Scrounger goes to battlefield since it's resolution of spell.

Does Ichorid work too? Or does that happen all once? Doesn't seem like it would work I don't think.
Exile a black creature cost is the activation cost.
Return Ichorid to the battlefield is the ability resolution.
Those are two separate events resulting in two bats.
Bone Dragon is another one where the Exile is part of casting cost and then the creature to the battlefield is second event.

No, Bone Dragon and Scrapheap Scrounger are both activated abilities which have two separate events (paying the cost and resolving the effect). Ichorid is a single triggered ability where everything happens upon resolution, so you only get one bat.
New core set with fun new toys.
Out of the (mostly) affordable cards that struck me as fun I’ll be buying these:
The Nova are my Austere Commands number three and four, the Golems are Spines I can reanimate, the wakers are Nezumi’s that I don’t have to flip and Vivien is a mono green Vraska. Life is good...!

Disagree. It either requires Tortured Existence or a slew of recursive threats such as 4x Bloodghast/Reassembling Skeleton and 4x Prized Amalgam. You might be able to make something wonky with Squee, Goblin Nabob, Krovikan Horror and/or Veilborn Ghoul (+ a discard outlet such as Zombie Infestation) but that's still very niche. I like the card, but it's not good stuffs.
Stitcher's Supplier, on the other hand, is pretty damn awesome in any "GY matters" deck.

Would be pretty funny followed up with Living Death tho, I have to admit.
EDIT: No, wait... that doesn't work, due to the ordering on the card. Boooo! Booooo!
I guess I have to be content with Twilight's Call.

(I’d have gladly paid one mana on trigger if it triggered for each creature.)

I said "at least some value," not that it was bonkers. It has freebie synergy with lots of different mechanics, is all I'm saying.
