Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I even don't know how to embed my deck in this post. I'd be happy if someone can help me with that.
Apart from that, I've been trying for a long time to build an en-kor deck which doesn't use the "gain infinite life" combo to win. I'm playing only casually with friends and the infinite win is just too boring. However, my non-inifnite en-kor always sucked so I'm changing it now. I'd be happy if anyone has some ideas how to make it better.
I was trying to play the en-kors with stuffy doll, pestilence etc., but it just didn't do anything before that because the en-kors are just too non threatening when they attack. And if I have an en-kor and stuffy doll the opponent doesn't attack or just removes one part of the combo.
So the idea of the deck is as follows: Pump the en-kors with equipments that trigger if combat damage is dealt and use the redirect ability for multiple synergy effects.
I added the planeswalker to get a token I can redirect damage to and because it removes creatures and artifacts.
I added the god because it's harder to block my creatures so I might get more creatures from the graveyard with Sword of Light and Shadow. Also, if I have a high priest of Penance, I can redirect two sources of damage to him and therefore destroy two targets if he blocks my En-Kors. Plus it becomes a creature if I have Boros Reckoner and can take all redirect damage.
Earthquake and Blasphemous are there to destroy the opponents creatures and get advantages out of my creatures obviously.
The crackdown construct of course uses the infinite combo, but I feel that I need a bit more pressure to draw some removal spells or force him to block unfavorable.
I haven't tried the deck yet, I'd like to have some of your input before buying any cards. It still feels quite clunky. Any ideas how to fix that?
About the only thing interesting about En-kor is interesting ways to torch them with cards like Sudden Spoiling and Polymorphist's Jest before landing a red kill spell like Pyroclasm. Blowfly Infestation is fun, however. Other sweepers like BSZ or Damnation are more efficient, of course. I have yet to see an en-kor strategy that wasn't a yawner, to be honest. They are as annoying now as they were when they came out, lol. Having said that, Star of Extinction or Blasphemous Act are very spectacular damage dealers to drop from the en-kor onto the damage reflectors like Boros Reckoner that RabidVacin mentioned. Good luck.
Edit: below, there are two deletions. I kept getting internal errors, though it was apparently still going through. Apologies!

Faster?
Less consistency?
Less unblockable?
Less boardwipes?
More silly instantaneous effects?
My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.
