Double the pleasure, double the fun, double-mint...eldrazi? Desolation Twin into Desolation Twin WOULD be funny. That would be like those old Double-mint gum commercials when the two sets of gorgeous twins would flirt with reach other, except these twins are ugly.
Jokes aside, I like the overall idea. Two questions.
1. Do you find 2 Sunbird's is enough to start firing that off reliably?
2. Is your approach with Chain Reaction right? I see an issue with blowing up your eldrazi as well a lot of the time. Crater Hellion kills the smalls and leaves the bigs, which can be quite the benefit in this deck design, not to mention being another beater for you.
Edit: one other thing I don't see is a way to take out artifacts and enchantments. What if someone pops out a pillowfort approach/Meekstone-style defense? I realize with red that your options are limited, but mana isn't problem to add some Spine of Ish Sah to remove game stoppers. I use World Breaker in my eldrazi deck to clear the way for annihilators and beaters to do their thing.
I only have the two. If it was dedicated Sunbird I maybe should run more but it’s just as much Eldrazi.
And with 10 card draw (of which 4x draw 7) plus a sword I find them fast enough.
Most often my meta is three player so the Chain Reaction does not backfire too often. And if it does... oh well.
With my hand full of cards I’m pretty fast out of the blocks after the explosion.
My opponents hardly play hordes so the Hellion does only partly work. It is worth pondering though. (Maybe Bloodfire Colossus...)
Hardly any pillow fortresses in my meta so my two C. Warps should be enough to counter the odd Volrath’s Stronghold I encounter.
But if some of you play a bigger table you should adjust this deck before running it...
One thought is that if the meta moves to some more area defenses with enchantments and artifacts like Ensnaring Bridge or Moat-style/Propaganda, red can handle both artifacts and enchantments by running Spine of Ish Sah and Shatterstorm. The storm takes out all artifacts, allowing your Spines to recycle and handle enchantments multiple times. Cloudposts allow such a mana-intensive card as the spines to run effectively as mono-red spot removal that can hit almost everything.
I mostly run the Spine of Ish Sah in mono black (with best friend Priest of Yawgmoth), because playing black I play for keeps.
My mono red tends to be more whimsical...
(-:
Still, if my meta shifts (it does very slowly with three grey haired veterans) I’ll adapt. Even in mono red.

In magic there's Harry Dresden, Fizban, Sethra Lavode, Dorotea Senjak and me...
My meta: 3 or 4 player free for all, anything goes but boring games or broken decks cause a vote to end that game.
Dropped the Swords (they found a home a mono-black deck) and added two Bloodfire Colossus’esss.
Manacurve’s a tad high but I think I’ll get away with that...

Don’t like the Maps. But I do like the Path with the Defectors. Nice!
The Oracles are on my buylist, just not high enough. I’ll rethink them. (though in my meta making my opponents discard their carefully crafted hands is often a plus!)
The Elixirs have not yet resulted in an empty yard at the wrong moment. But I hear what you say. (Emrakul’s also on the buylist...)
You might be right on the Deceivers, but I’m not ready to scrap those...
Thanks!

Note: only their toes have to be good looking, the rest is above normal people’s heads...
